I think it’s nice of you to go through the Brinkley again. I didn’t like it at all. I prefer a diesel pusher, but we all have to have our different opinions which is why there’s so many different types of manufacturers making different models do not all made for everyone. I like you guys being you, which is why I still watch you as I’m purchasing my diesel pusher. Keeping being the real you.

I think it was their first stab at resolving the issue of a trailer sleeping 8, but seating 2. 😂
Love what Brinkly is doing to the new ave of Rv's. We are looking at the 3610, the 3950/toy-hauler is not for us. Brinkly, is paving a tone to the Rv's, they bring lots of new improvements but I just wish we could more up to date electronics, the old push buttons controls are fine for the folks that like it.. but I am one of them geeks that loves screens. But I get it less problems but I do see them older console having issues as well.
I prefer the windows on the Brinkley over the slide windows with a cheap roller shade. Don't forget those blackout shades also have a radiant barrier to reflect heat from the sun. We looked at tons of RV's and none of them use the quality of materials Brinkley uses for the price. I'm not a fan of that floor plan either. The new kitchen table is a great change that works well on the Z models.

I love the build of Brinkley. But I totally understand what you are saying. We look at RV's for our travel needs. We use our RV as much on travel days. So we need to get things in the kitchen while the RV is closed. We LOVE the Brinkley floor plans. For us we don't like the table/desk area. We would rather just have the bar not the slide table. We also don't care for the u shape couch. We feel it cuts off the Kitchen. For us we would like just maybe a recliner or and a couch leave the walk through of the couch area to the kitchen. ( Hard to explain in a comment, sorry) But we LOVE LOVE LOVE that Brinkley is thinking "outside the box for us". And we know they can't not make everyone happy all the time. We have changed our Surveyor for the way we need it to work for us so if and when we up grade to something new we look at RV's a little different knowing we can change somethings to work better for our needs.

Totally agree about the kitchen area not being open in that particular Brinkley floorplan. Funny thing is we really like the Brinkley's and if we were to purchase a 5th wheel it would be one to consider. For now we will stay with a dp. It just works better for the way we live and travel. 27 yrs RVing I'll take those windows anyday everyday over full slide windows you can't keep those open in the rain but you can those fold out windows and with a max air fan there's a huge amount of airflow

They are very beautiful with many innovative features. The coach is just not our thing. LOL, thank you.
I like Brinkley, but the Alliance 40V13 toy hauler has a better floor plan. If you compare the two brands Brinkley is built better in my opinion just look at the cabinets and mattress in both Brinkley wins. I’m in the research and discovery period trying to decide on what to buy wish me luck!

@@oureverydaygetaway I previously had a 42’ Fleetwood Discovery and sold it when my camping buddy passed away. My wife and I are looking for something smaller and less trouble and I realize that they all can be trouble. I’m taking my time and really doing my homework. I appreciate you guy’s videos and your thoughts on the Rv lifestyle.
Brinkley has some neat features, but it looks like a Google flex-space office to me. None of the windows open fully and the ones on the slide sides do not open at all. Not my taste, but I do give them credit for creativity and thinking outside the box.
We would consider purchasing a Brinkley if in the market. There are a few things we'd liked changed though. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

Hey there guys! Not hating at all. Just our opinion. Hope your enjoying your time out west.
I think your spot on with the research & evaluation of the floor plan.
Everyone has different tastes and wants and needs, so what's good for the goose may not be for the gander.
That being said, after 4 years of hunting and evaluating for us there 2 toy hauler are front runners.
But that's only us, there is alot of compromising when looking at toy haulers....if ya don't want your big toys with ya you get much more refined living space.
We meet 2 of the owners at Tampa and when he asked what we would change the windows and couch came into play.
We aren't in a hurry so maybe, just maybe they may change that in future models
We are planning to do a plant tour at some point to see just how and what goes into them

It’s ok to have an opinion on it lol. I like the living room area. I don’t like the small shower. Not a big fan of the sliding desk/table either.

Just a suggestion, but perhaps if you didn’t title your video “overrated Brinkley” people wouldn’t automatically be as critical of your content. That being said, if you watch the whole video, you bring up a lot of good points. For me, it’s the best toy hauler with a big enough garage that I’ve seen. At least so far.
We actually don't mind if people get a little upset. They we're still respectful with their comments and did take the time to watch and respond. Over rated? Well, I’d consider them if it was a Full Drop Frame, otherwise, it’s kinda pricey for what you get. Wife also not a fan of windows!!
If I were you, I would stick with your original review! Don’t let people bully you into falling in love with something that’s made for 20-year-old kids. Just remember, we’re no longer the majority buyers anymore so it’s OK if it doesn’t appeal to you nor appeal to my wife and I either. It’s great to go to the shows and see all the new stuff and dream about a new camper. In the past years it’s become more about the full time living experience. Most of us would rather see a simpler camper for families and weekend trips. Just like you have said before it’s more about the layout than the name on the outside. Just like trucks Ford Chevrolet or Dodge diesel or gas we all make our own decisions. Thanks From Wisconsin

I too love slide open windows because I’m not a big fan of air conditioning so we need good air flow.

Nice to see your reaction as you visit the Brinkley, I am also not a fan for this U shaped sofa, but I still love Brinkley for their way of looking for innovation and bring something new to the market.
But the title of Brinkley overrated is just not what is in your video.
The way this video is made is not fair and not your usual style.
We have met Rocky multiple times on shows and we have always loved exchanging with him.

In this video we are posing the question is Brinkley "Overrated"? We have had many people say it is and then others love it. We actually like Brinkley just not this model. Rocky was awesome and spent time talking to us about things they are changing and upcoming new features. Very nice and informative guy. We looked at the 3500 and the 3950. We went with the 3500 because we didn't like the U shaped couch or the half bath of the 3950. We also didn't really want to go quite that big.

Not sure about that model, but I do like their original model, the Z3100 5th wheel. Interior quality and features seem to be a step above and their initial customer service reputation is good, but it’s still a pretty new company. They are on the high side for price, but they include a lot of options and quality choices. They have also been making improvements on the fly, rather than waiting for a new model year. We’re not in the market yet, but they are on our short list for now.
That model was one of our favorites. So far they seem to be doing quite a lot of things right. Hopefully this will continue. Thanks for leaving a comment. Chris and I really do appreciate it.
Saw the Brinkley at the Palm Beach, FLA RV show. The model they had there was smaller and had a plastic sink in the bathroom; Although this model you're showing here is really nice. Exterior wise they do have great aesthetics. But we're also not 5th wheel customers.

We are looking at the Brinkley right now. I really love the Brinkley but am really struggling with the windows. The windows on the Brinkley look great but IMO they don’t meet our needs. They are kinda small and with the onset of arthritis in my hands, much harder for me to open. Also, those blinds are not black out.
Totally get it. Maybe try looking at an Alliance. We have quite a few friends that own Alliance 5th wheels and love them. Good luck finding the perfect rv for your travels. 😊

Spoke to Rocky at a few shows and he's a straight up guy. Been in the industry and left; but Brinkley brought him back.

Actually our favorite model 5th wheel is a Brinkley. We just didn't like this model.
I find it interesting they did not want you to film. Sounds like someone is trying to control the narrative in relation to their brand.
Brinkley is not at all my cup of tea either. I hate the styling both inside and out, just not a fan. I do think they do a good job on fit and finish and the cabinets look better built than any brand not called New Horizions, Luxe, DRV or Riverstone....

Thank you. Honestly we went through so many of the Alliance models while in Tampa but can't remember which was which. There were so many. In our opinion the Riverstone's are very nice.

If Brinkley is using Lippert for the frames I would not think anything has improved other than some build quality on the inside.
You could be correct. We were only looking at the interior design of the rv's in this video.

I'm not a fan of that model either. Our next one will have a different floor plan for better indoor entertainment. I do like how Brinkley is making other manufactures keep things fresh.
There are quite a few models out there that have better floor plans in our opinion. Yours is beautiful but I totally get the indoor entertainment area. Stay safe and enjoy your travels. Hopefully we'll see you guys on the road soon.
It's well built but no nightstands and the rear half bathroom is a no go.

We know what we like. We've gone to enough RV shows, to walk in and walk out of a trailer in less than 15 seconds when the floor plan doesn't work for us.

Be clear, I’ve owned motorhomes for 30 years and like them even the best isn’t nor will be perfect at all. Brinkley’s are very nice and in some respects better than some of the other junk out there like Grand Design. But also Brinkley does have issues beyond a doubt. Anyone that says they have had absolutely zero issues with their Brinkley fifth wheel I would say is a liar. But hey, 1st amendment rights.😁

I would question about getting a brinkley because the guys that were working for grand design I guess are now with brinkley. And with the issues that some of the grand design fifth wheels are having you wonder if brinkley's will have that in the future
My theory is that these guys took their ingenuity and quality and left when Winnebago (?) bought GD quite a few years ago. May have been as far back as 2016? So, they’re not the builders of the GD we see today. 🤷♀️
We wouldn't know anything about that but a very interesting theory. Gives us a lot to think about.

You guys don't have to justify your opinion. I LOVE Brinkleys but that 3950 would be a "no" for me. Some of the things you don't like, I LOVE. I like the window blinds, I like the new dining set-up. You liked the Z Air, for me that is my least favorite. They may need to rethink the design of the couch on the 3950, And Brinkley has shown that they are open to constructive criticism and making changes.

Hopefully people will understand it's just our preference and not anything negative towards Brinkley. They were so open to constructive criticism when we met Rocky in FL. Ut oh . . You made the fatal mistake of criticizing a Brinkley. How dare you? I was in a Brinkley Facebook group and the members are insane. They are also super petty and childish. I joined the group because i was interested in buying a Brinkley and I still am interested. Definiteky not a Toy Hauler though
When a new owner has an issue with their new Brinkley they are often criticized by members of the group. I have a lot of experience with rv-ing over the last 30 years and sometimes I weighed in on some of the questions. I was asked by more than a few people if I actually owned a Brinkley because apparently if I didn't own it Brinkley I didn't have the right to any opinion.
While I still would consider Brinkley because I like their units, I would never join a Brinkley Facebook group. I don't think I've ever been in a group that had so many over-the-top ridiculous human beings. Brinkley makes a nice trailer but some of their owners think they are super specia.....l and they aren't.
The funny thing is we actually like Brinkley's in general just not this floor model. People can be so touchy! 🤪

My problem with your comments is the sense of topic immaturity / lack of appreciation for quality and clean design that ONLY Brinkley offers. At 77, we've sold our 42' motor yacht and shopping for our first RV for us and guests available for 5 months static occupancy each year. There is nothing in the market - and we've looked at dozens of 40' models - that we would buy other than Brinkley. You sound jealous - maybe outside your reach? You're just plain irritating. And, I'm so relieved your review is "honest," a good insight to your otherwise questionable integrity?
Sorry you feel that way. If you took the time to watch our entire video we mention how much we like Brinkley and it would be one to consider if in the market. The finishes are absolutely magnificent! We just didn't like the floor layout of this one. FYI, it's not outside our reach.

Let’s just be honest.. is Brinkley making them “look” nicer than others? Sure. It’s just a materials change and everyone will update and they will all the same once again.
At the end of the day all these manufacturers are located in the same place because they all buy the same cheap materials from the same low quality suppliers.
How many times have we seen a new company with management from others places and we’re gonna build a better RV and we care and blah blah. Skip ahead a couple years, the new wears off and mass production, profit first takes over.
They are all cheaply made and grossly overpriced. End of story.

@@oureverydaygetaway I’m actually starting to talk to trailer manufacturers of triple axle lowboy goosenecks and just build my own. Frame with light gauge steel (think commercial buildings) and finish it out with residential quality materials. Not cause I want to spend the time, but I can’t handle the quality of production units.
