- r/Prorevenge In today's episode, we have 2 stories from developers who get hired to make a website for a client. Both clients try to screw over OP by making them try to work for free, and both times OP gets spectacular revenge! In one of the stories, OP manages to use his developer skills to utterly destroy the client's business piece by piece until the client has to close shop and even loses his house to foreclosure. How many times do I have to say it? Don't mess with the IT guy!

Don’t people ever learn? Never mess with the IT guy
Dude, I gotta disagree with a lot of people here... if you’re planning to run a company that routinely scams people out of their money, PLEASE mess with the IT guy. I want more online scammers taken down within a year of launch.
I’m genuinely cackling over how petty and hilarious the revenge is, it’s just beautiful! Bob should’ve just paid to begin with, he absolutely deserved it
as an artist, stuff like this happens to me all the time. ALWAYS DEMAND PAYMENT UPFRONT. If they have a problem with it, dont work for them.
This just teaches me, as a soon to be coder, to never EVER submit any work onto a client's server without being paid in full for the work. And, no matter what, always legally protect myself to not get screwed by scheming con artists.
IT guy could’ve easily sued Bob six-feet under for not paying.
ngl, that last story is totally why lawyers scare me. But I think the "never mess with the IT" guy prevailed over that XD
Oh no. Not the IT guy. Never mess with the IT guy.
Day 138 of telling him he's making everyone day better
And, again, our knowledge is reinforced that you should NEVER screw with someone who works in IT because if that IT person doesn't have enough IT clout to bury you, you can bet they know another person in IT who can. Believe me, in the 80s, even though I was only a co-owner of a fairly small business covering one state (wity others as favors), I still actually had enough clout (and favors) with a big 3 letter IT giant to bring them down on the head of one petty corporate CEO who thought he could massively screw me over. And, after the dust cleared, he definitely knew what brick hit him.
There are two things you NEVER mess with
Company screws over IT guy: IT guy "so you have chosen death!"
Bob: "I'm not ever going to pay you and there's nothing you can do about it."
"Travel agency"
Here's a hot take.
Bob refuses to pay
"Welcome to R/Prorevenge were people mess with the IT guy."
rSlash: "Welcome to r/Prorevenge, where someone decides to mess with the IT guy"
This is why you always pay people for services!
Man, everyone knows that even the IRS are afraid of pissing off the IT guys
