  • I change the front brake pads on my XMAX 300 with OEM Yamaha pads. It’s a straightforward job and you only need a 10mm & 12mm sockets and a screwdriver or pliers.

I also tried LED indicators (just the bulbs)
They fitted but flashed quicker and were so bright the orange plastic looked greenish.
They just looked wrong and don’t comply with vehicle standards so I changed back to normal standard lights.

Ahh that suckss, did you manage to find the relay for the lights? In most cases, that needs to be changed to correct the flashing of the LEDs

    Great video mate.
BTW got the R & G tail tidy fitted by Yamaha.
Took them 2 hours and cost me A$250.
They had to take the scooter apart to get at the rear.
Also had my first service, so it was an expensive day.
The tail tidy came all the way from the Uk 🇬🇧 I’m in Australia 🇦🇺
I probably wouldn’t have bothered if I had know what a drama it would be.
It does look amazing 🤩 though
    Cheers mate

That’s a lot of money to fit a tailtidy! Ah well, at least it looks good 😂🙌🏽

How do you tell when your brake pads are worn off? I can’t really tell by physically looking.

Sometimes the brake lever travel is longer than usual so it could be an indication that the brake pad material is getting thinner
