- This has been a difficult season for Blackburn Rovers, with the exit of Jon Dahl Tomasson, the sale of star player Adam Wharton, a botched attempt to sign forward Duncan McGuire, financial issues for the owners and a run of results that have left the team just above the relegation zone in the Championship.
In this exclusive interview with Training Ground Guru, Blackburn's Director of Football Gregg Broughton gives the lowdown on all of this and more. Despite the challenges he and the club have faced during this campaign, he insists they remain wedded to their plan of becoming a sustainable Premier League side.

Hes a decent guy i think deep down and his passion shows . He has guge responsibilities on his shoulders being in charge of so many things .
This mcGuire incident - how can he be held responsble if someone oressed save not send ? Yes its under his watch but i rather keep Gregg than have him sacked . He has a great business mind
You really don't know what your talking about
Another plant he's useless Hirst ennis telalovic siggurdson walhsted brittan isn't great hyam has gone off there's only szmodics shocking recruitment and Broughton doesn't have a clue
Greg speaks really well. Obviously a very intelligent and knowledgeable guy. He's only been at the club a short time whereas as fa s we've been suffering for years.
He seems to be able to talk the talk but struggles to walk the walk
Hard to replace Gallagher 😂 1 629 minutes played this season 3 goals give over gregg i know more about football than you and this club will go nowhere under him venkys waggott or Eustace
Waffles a load of shite Eustace plays negative football he was a cheap option a yes man
The guy talks a lot but doesn't really say anything. Oh and Sammie came to us in 2022 not last year.
Im also pretty sure JRC came in from Man U and not Man City so maybe he should do better research, considering hes paid to do a Job. No wonder the McGuire transfer failed and before that O'Brien
ye because that really matters where JRC came from 10 years ago
@@mcollier007 he should know the club and its background before saying something. Thats his job! Theres many people at the club getting paid to do a job, thats my point! If you dont agree thats your problem
I thought same JRC definitely was United player
@mcollier007 shut up you plant Broughton chats absolute shite and the recruitment team is piss poor
