Huge bikes? Aye, it's the season for them. Have seen convoys of them in the last few weeks. I also tend to give other bikers a wave, but it seems to be frowned on for some reason these days, I don't understand why, we all have a shared experience with riding motorbikes. I am in complete agreement with the growing idea that the time of the huge touring bike is drawing to a close. There's no point and you spend longer worrying about dropping your 20k bike than you do enjoying the ride. Anyway's as the saying goes, "Don't get me started" 🙂
The 350 should be in its element next week and as always I will give other 2 wheelers a wave whatever their riding 😁👍 cheers Bruce

Enfield did not follow the trend of short stroke liquid cooled high revs.
But went for air cooled long stroke low rev with a short skirt piston.
And it works beautifully .
More soul than all the Tupperware road burners welded together

Nice ride again. It's nice that the motorcycle drives even better. I had the opportunity to drive one more time on a demo day at the dealer...the gentleman asked me after returning, so what? I had a smile on my face and I had to say, great. Just awesome comfort :D .....I stopped hesitating and ordered the classic in helcyon green. Right at the store. So I'm also looking forward to riding ;) .

@@Coastriderscotland 😊Thank you. How to ride a motorcycle for the first 500 km. I will install a DNA filter and then replace the pipe with the catalyst with an empty pipe from hitchcocks. I would like the entire hitchcocks exhaust, but it probably wouldn't pass the technical inspection here 😥...because it doesn't have homologation.

Morning Bruce, funnily enough, I have just finished editing a video, which will be released next week, where I talk about the benefits of riding smaller capacity (slow ish) bikes. I had been chatting to a chap with a massive 1250 Beemer “Adventure” bike, brand new 23 plate, and he could totally see the point of the little 350. Unfortunately the “biker fellowship” is not as strong as it used to be. I find most individual riders acknowledge you, but groups don’t. It is like a form of elitism, especially with some Sportsbike/Adventure bike riders. I nod at anyone and everyone on motorised two wheelers 😂. Looking forward to your vids of your holiday.

It'll be a Royal Enfield for me. Probably a Himalayan, but possibly the classic 350. 😀

Have a trial ride on the Hunter 350. It is lighter than the Classic and very nimble and manoeuvrable.
The bike's sounding good 👍. I'm looking forward to seeing the NC500 videos, I was up there last year, but not on a bike 😪. Must get up there on my classic sometime. Safe journey

Fitted the fuel-X to my bike now after carefully watching Tiger Ness's video and did 60 miles today and all's good. Fitting that stage 2 DNA filter I was just amazed with the difference it makes. Good luck with your next travels.
what does the fuel-X do?

I really get what you mean about the big bikes - I definitely feel like a bit more power wouldn't go amiss on my Himalayan, but is there any need for a bike with 5x the power that weighs 50% more and costs 2x as much? Not really when you consider the rules and conditions on our roads. I think Enfield nailed it with their 650s tbh, that's about as much power as you can actually use on a regular basis, at least as a solo rider.
Agree with the RE 650s as big as anyone really needs, and add the value for money 👍😁

Its a nice bike just a pity about the running costs of the new modals, the service cost is a joke, parts overpriced. I sold mine but i had a good run on it.
Hi, i service my bike myself so costs for oil filter etc is same as old bullet, been great so far to run with great mpg 😁👍
