City Council officials, government civil engineers and authorities, should be given a compulsory 3 weeks paid holiday in different countries, just to walk and drive around and see how other countries, that are much better and years ahead of Zim.

I admit I am always critical on most things happening in Zimbabwe but this is a very good start ,might be decades later but half a loaf is better than nothing ,let this not just be focused on the up class areas for real development to be seen we need to see this in all ghettos ,it’s not hard we used to see roads being repaired when we were going to school kudhara ikoko .
One critical issue which these politicians do is to do things without actually having the right assessments when you do most of these resurfacing and dualisations many areas needed water and sewer pipe infrastructure upgrades /bigger pipes installed before new road works but now they are just happy to put the roads come a couple of months from now they will be digging again some sections revisiting theses issues

When I was still living in Zim, almost 15 years ago, a friend was going on about how jaywalking is a problem in Zim and I didn’t get what the fuss was about. Now I do. We don’t prioritize safety at all in Zim.

They are council roads! Within the Harare city confines you need to be informed my friend BUT this is a central government project due the country hosting a a SADC summit in August
No safety been observed on construction site , people just moving throgh the work area and if an accident occurs the company will be heavily fined. There must be safety officers to enforce safety standards and the city council must barricade these roads from pedestrians. Zimbabweans we have just become too casual in our approach to everything.

The road from Samora Machel west passing through Warren Park 1, going to Kambuzuma has disappeared. Urgently need reconstruction.

Sidewalks are said to be responsibility of City of Harare Council...current road works are central government projects.
