Walking Around with the Deer

- The deer came to visit and help me mow our weeds. There is quite a bit of clover, which they love, among the other vegetation. It is an easily digestible plant and is full of vitamins and minerals.
Great video. Nothing better than hanging out with wildlife in nature. I film a fair amount of deer videos too.

By the end of the day I finally had it mowed down! It's been raining here for a week and it's supposed to rain for another week after todays short bit of dryness, my feet were still soaked after visiting with the deer. It would be great to have a few more deer to mow the place naturally! Would you believe that the four deer that usually come in the yard basically ignore the lawn tractor? Maybe they know that a vehicle may mean new snacks! Have a wonderful day Adrian and thank you for watching!

I really enjoy being able to casually walk out to join them without them running off like the other deer around here. As long as I pay attention to their reactions, I can avoid getting too close. It also reassures them that I'm not a threat by always respecting their bubble.😁♥️

I guess the deer think of you as a friend. The deer grazing peacefully are so cool.
These deer are the offspring of a doe I knew for over 13 years, others around the area are more "wild" and keep their distance most of the time. I can easily get close enough to touch the two smaller ones, who were brought out into the yard with their mother, about two weeks after they were born, to visit with us. Unfortunately she passed away last spring possibly due to an issue with her pregnancy.
@@wildlifeathome My friend, thank you for your reply, it's amazing that I've known this deer for 13 years! And it's amazing that we were able to get close to the fawns. However, it is very unfortunate that the mother deer passed away last spring.

Good ol' Tricky and the twins never seem too bothered by my walking up to them, Shy little Flo likes to keep her distance for some reason, she probably misses her big brother Joe, I know I do. For all I know she was around Nicky when she died and it may have her a bit traumatized. Hopefully Joe is still running around somewhere chasing the doe. I'm also starting to think Tricky may be sterile, she doesn't look pregnant and I don't think she has had any fawns in about three years. There is at least one of those "other" doe that is quite large so we'll probably get to see at least one fawn once its mother brings it around, but it won't be up close and personal like I'm used to.
@@wildlifeathome I forgot all about Joe. I sure hope he is okay. You would think he would stop by once in awhile. Do you think you would recognize him if he did drop in? That is sad that tricky never had fawns. Hopefully you will get a few from the other doe.🙏🙏🥰
@@critterallywithjohnernest. I would think I could recognize Joe either by the scar on his nose or just his reaction to me. I'm not positive, but I thought I could see swollen nipples on Goldie, she isn't very pregnant looking but as it would be her first time it may be a single fawn. I guess we will find out eventually!😁♥️
