- Uncaged & Instinct (Sorry Silk fans but I don't listen to that sublabel)...anyway HUGE month for MCat with a TON of releases: 42 in total including the 10 year anniversary comp, Tisoki's debut album, a CloudNone EP, Drinks On Me EP, and a bunch of singles. Lots of Drum & Bass released this month as well.

I can't believe it's the end of July and that school starts for me in about 3.5 weeks...anyway I have yet to listen to ur guys' July submissions but I'll try to get that video out before I leave for Colorado next thursday 👍🏻 (week-long vacation)

Such a good month. The 10YA comp was super fun, as were the two EPs (especailly Drinks on Me's). I am enjoying Tisoki's album quite a bit actually. The Light LP was honestly the highlight of the whole month for me, it really got me fully into Silk for the first time. (Rwnada/Kyoto was amazing too).

Dying Star was by far my favorite song of the month. The most accurate word I can think off to describe this song is perfect lol.

also wop beat is melodic rat twist and thats why i really love it as it is also my favorite from the ep.
and ms69 is really cool.

JC-08 is my favourite of the month. I don't know why, but after 400 listens i'm still viiiiiiiiiiiibin.
All Night by Tisoki was interesting. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do.
I wish Forever Summer was mixed and structured a bit better, unfortunately, Two Thirds aka LVTHER said that he had deleted the project file for it just before being contacted about the 10YA.
That being said, all of the DnB this month has been amazing.
Honestly i really enjoyed tisoki's album but i can see why you didn't like this much

Although of course I’m extremely glad Wishful Thinking was number one, I’m extremely sad that Dauber and Motion were both pretty far back. Dauber’s fast pace feel in the second drop just hits so differently for me. Motion’s sounds in the beginning of the second drop are a bit dated, but I find the song still very enjoyable and fun for a car ride. Tbh all three of these songs absolutely slap while driving

While I found July to be one of the better months this year, I could hardly find any highlights this month.
Mental State was one of the best songs to drop from July, I love that the melody feels both basic and complex at the same time, the artwork is also phenomenal
Also, the 10y anniversary was so god damn boring, not a single song caught my attention
Mental State's drops are 10/10 for me but in between it's like a 5/10 lol. When I listen I skip to the build up lol

Btw I heard 01953 and it was a good album. Not my favorite MC LP of this year but still pretty good
I’ll have to see if it grows on me at all like I said I’ve only heard the full thing like 1-2 times so far lol

Probably the weakest month of the year so far. Don't really like a lot of the songs and the ones that I do are not the total best

1:36 slippy is a good candidate since he makes pretty good stuff but his melodic stuff is kinda meh. We need his dark side back 😈
Lol I’m the exact opposite I’ve never been that fond of his darker stuff and idk why ☹️
I can see why as he has some really forgettable tracks but there’s FORM which is my favorite slippy song…
