I like how not one but two people from Leon's past showed back up in his life to more or less kick him in his heart's balls before either dying or bailing.
I like that Leon is one of the only characters that really shoot when have chance on a cutscene

I really like how Krauser dies a bit more gracefully in the remake. He actually gives Leon props and refers to him by his name for once.
Ashley holding a knife up to herself and saying “Temperance Child!” Has to be one of the coldest scenes in Resident Evil history

@@DarknessXER I mean in the original RE4, Saddler mentioned wanting to make Leon into his bodyguard once his Plaga finished developing, so it's possible he got a special strain like Salazar or Krauser.
I think there's a fanfic that has Ashley turned into one of the insectoid monsters.
He'd become a generic tentacle monster

I weirdly admire the Osmund Sandler’s formality at 7:23, here he is walking up to Leon and he acts like it’s a standard day. The little head nod makes it better like he actually respects Leon
Man, even Leon's classic phrase "Hasta Luego" they brought it back, how come the U-3 didn't come back in this remake, man. A fight against him was going to be macabre.

sad, they keep having to take stuff out of these remakes. at least this one fared better overall compared to the 3 remake.

The U-3 dont have anythinh to do with the OG story, its just out of place and most people hated it because the fighting area was far too narrow and complicated when 2nd battle was far too predictable.
U-3 will be added in other DLC including Ada in Separate Ways and Ada Assignment. Dont blame Capcom to remove U-3 , they also added new type of enemies to compensate that.
I dont hate U-3 boss, its just an unneccesary battle to begin with, and since we have 8 hours in total game to beat in achievement, its most unlikely they will pissed against U-3 for another 15 minutes battle (3-5 minutes for speedrunner).

This game looks phenomenal. Kudos to Capcom.
I played to death the original RE4 so I really enjoyed how the successors changes. Went into it thinking it wouldn't be much different and was shocked, and surprised plenty of times.
I personally think I like this RE4 better, the fact that Umbrella is still around in it likely since they never mentioned its fall. . . That explains why Leon was sent without any back up such as the real life Ghosts. (Yes, theres a real life military unit in the U.S called Ghosts, all but one of their operations remain classified. But they are supposedly the most elite unit.) or atleast some specialist team on stand by that could covertly enter the area to aid Leon. Not saying an entire military battalion or anything like that (Although logically I’m pretty sure the U.S would of presented proof to NATO that a cult using a bio weapon captured the daughter of the U.S president after Leon confirmed it. . .) but more like a squad or fire team so. . . 3 or 5 highly trained special operatives. Logically in the remake, the militaries efforts would be focused on bringing down Umbrella after Raccoon City.
Still doesn’t explain why Leon was sent in with just a pistol and a knife though as weapons. . . And only two mags/clips. . .
I WAS going to say i miss the amount of cheese from the original like "no thanks bro" and the "your right hand comes off?" Line but the ending date line jusy solidified: THERE WAS CHEEESE AT THE END

It’s Ada. He knows she can survive heights.
He could have also assumed she was infected with Los Plagas. But also in this point in time, Ada is practically dead to him due to how much she tries to kill him or betray him on the regular. It's also a video game, so... eh?
Ironically, people are more likely to not be injured in falls if they are unconscious. Body naturally tenses up when you should ragdoll a lot of the time. Only thing being conscious helps is if you protect your head. Lots of stories of people being flung 40 ft by a tornado but survive with just scratches cause they were knocked out and limp.

Id have to say Ashleys Character in the remake is a huge improvement from the original
She feels more natural, like someone that really got traumatized being kidnapped, rather a bratty girl that complains why she got kidnapped

4:50 there's a different this one, Leon will using a grapple hook with some QTE, but this one they add a chain without QTE
plus he will shoot salazar's phone, giving him a reason to order his verdugo to kill leon. But here, there is only 1 verdugo, and salazar literally has no reason to order verdugo, since he doesnt have any idea if he's alive

I'll never throw away my last resort like that. not only it's has more chance to miss. but also risking to lost forever if the enemy throw it away or breaks it. so let the gun do it's job when come to ranged attack is better decision.
plus, bullet faster than knife throwing anyways (except you have a super strength that make your arm could throwing knife faster than a gun.)

Leon’s skills in a cutscene are a fair trade, shoots when he has the chance, also the only one who can’t kill someone with a pistol in a cutscene.

Final bosses really tend to get way bigger in the remakes, don't they?
tbf, the original final battle with Saddler in the original game felt a little anti-climactic, especially compared to even Salazar. He just turns into a semi-large spider creature that jumps around and throws metal beams at you. The addition of a monstrous 2nd phase in the remake was definitely a good decision IMO.
I cannot wait to see re5 in high resolution . Boulder punching will look spectacular.

Wasn't as lucky as you think. When someone who lacks absolute handgun training shoots a semiautomatic handgun, this handgun has like 40% chances of jamming since not handling the recoil properly means the bullet won't eject as expected. This is the case with inexperienced Glock users, for example.
Wow, the boss fight between Leon and Krauser really cements that B-movie grade movie cinematic this game is known for, huh? God I love it.

I love how Leon is made a very relatable person. Many times the main characters wait for the villains to power up and when the cut scenes come, they stand there like a stupid gun held people instead of shooting them. I preferred Ramon's old Monster design I mean I'm fine with the model change but I feel the plaga cementing him to the castle itself was great symbolism

Sad that they didn't show the transformation from man to half man/half centipede, was what made the game imo, to see a seemingly healthy and strong badguy morph into a complete nightmare of a boss.
FINALLY SOMEONE REALIZE IT, that is really a lackdown, like the original, they showed how the boss slowly turn into a monster with stuff popping everywhere. But remake especially mendez, after the fire, TADA magic im a monster already bruhhh
