Samsung and LG laptops always have a premium price for an average product. Have they switched to glass trackpad and unibody construction atleast now? Last time i checked on book 2 pro, those were not present.
unfortunately, the price is ridiculous.
Maybe it will adjust in the months to come, which would be awesome, since these are fantastic notebooks.
@@NotebookcheckReviews I hope so!
Prices are not ridiculous, just that some can afford it easily like tissue paper while some can't afford

Hi, I am really struggling, I am having an issue with my S-pen, can you give me some help/advise please. I am really struggling to figure this out
Can i upgrade SSD in My Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 Up to 4 TB. Can i change only ssd 1 TB to 4 TB only replace new Samsung 990 Pro 4 TB Nvme m2 PCLE 4.0 SSD. or Western Digital Black SN850 X 4 TB?
Only 4 providers provide financing and out of Dell, Apple, Lenovo and Samsung, Samsung easily provides the best options with 0%apr for up to 24 months. They also provide the best Premium care plan when comparing to their competitors at the lowest cost that isnt capped. Samsung will also typically ship extra stuff to you with a purchase like a complimentary external drive or tablet when you buy one of thier laptops. Take in all of that, the ecosystem as well as the aquired trade in value and you end up with a very compelling offering for people looking for a high-end Windows machine with a clean asthetic.
What do you prefer: this laptop or g16 2024?
Most likely the G16, its probably faster if you compare the 4070 variants and you are a little more flexible when it comes to ports.
But if you want an even cleaner notebook and if the prices come down, the ultra might be a worthy contender.
Class leading performance 😂
I am not a fan of 2024 Intel chips, and if you are due an upgrade and expect to keep your ultrabook for 5-7 years, then waiting for 2025 will be the best bet.
If you have to, I suspect these will be low on your list. They are far too expensive, though prices are bound to drop. Their erratic regional variations are also a pain, with the US seemingly getting better options. Back in the day, I bought the OG Galaxy Book Pro, which has stood the test of time with aplomb, so its reliability and quality are Apple-like. Also, OS firmware and software updates have been continuous. I caveat my purchase by saying I paid less than half of the launch retail price way back when, so it represented solid value.
I felt the comment on the 16 gigs and the storage were a bit unfair, until you unveiled the price. I fully agree, this might be a very fine ultra-slim, but when you are asking 2k EUR for the i5 version? Come on Samsung, you are not Apple, people won't just buy your stuff by default because of the logo on it. Well, most people outside SK won't.
Take the Zenbook 14 OLED, also an ultra-portable 14" OLED device. It starts at literally *half the price* of the basic Book 4, after a quick google for Asus' germany website. I can configure one with an Ultra *9* processor, 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage *and* a 3K OLED touch-screen for 1700 EUR. Why wouldn't I get device that is so much more capable, just as well built, if not better, and significantly cheaper? Heck, in the US review, the Zenbook 14 with the Ultra 7/32/1 TB comes, with a stylus, at 1300 USD.
Even the Spectre x360, which is most definitely a premium-priced device, can be had with an 155H/16 GB/1 TB config for 1800 EUR directly on HP's website, also boasting fully convertible build with a 3K OLED touch-screen. For 2400 EUR, I can have it with a 4050, 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB SSD. I pretty massive rip-off, 600 EUR for adding a 4050, but it's still cheaper than the Book Ultra with comparable specs by hundreds of euros.
The same way the 2020 G14 opened the gates for sleek, portable and well performing gaming notebooks, it seems like the M1 revolution has lit a fire under most company's ultra portable divisions. These are some outstanding specs for the price, given it's an ultra portable machine. I'm talking, of course, about the Zenbook.
Samsung needs a 40% price cut to start competing.
I am not really sure who would buy an overpriced intel laptop if there are better and cheaper alternatives.
overpriced machines - not sure how Samsung is even selling these
They have a lot going for them, but I also hope they will adjust prices.
They offer better financing and support options than Apple and you also get trade-in value. Can't say the same for companies like Asus. When you buy a laptop, you're also buying into the manufacturer. This is how they sell these. While something like the G16 may perform better, Asus won't let you trade it in for value on your next purchase. Or maybe you want the Yoga Pro 9i, well they will charge you 15.9% interest when financing for 24months. These back-end purchase choices are where Samsung shines. Very good company with good support, good ecosystem, good security with premium high performance products. If you are needing to use Windows, Samsung is a very solid choice worth the investment. Consider this, let's say you already took the plunge and got last gens GB3U. With the current sale and your trade-in value, you could get the high-end GB4U with a i9 and 4070 for around $1900. That's excellent value considering the competition. That's why Samsung and Apple or more investment purchases than Asus, Dell and Lenovo.
they have ecosystem... thats why even i considering one instead of g16, because i am on S23 ultra and tab s9 plus... and
@@Promikesyeah same
@@NotebookcheckReviewsIn my country Samsung is giving a cashback of €500 oh these laptops. Summing it to students 25% and seasonal 15% discounts, I would end up paying €820 for the galaxy book4 pro and €1900 for ultra. Do you think this can be a deal, compared to other notebooks?
