I’m 22, almost 23 and needing dentures but I’m too terrified to do it, When I was 18 I had a super bad infection that turned deadly and ended up having to have 10 teeth pulled, I had bad teeth as it is, my mom and grandma did as well.
I’m really scared to do it, I feel like I’m just too young, I’m scared of what people would say which I know I shouldn’t.
I'm 24 and just got a bottom partial.. next week is the top one. This video made me go through with it and I couldn't be happier! Cheers man
Love ur tats! I’m going in for my extractions tomorrow am. I have to check in at the hospital at 6:15am so am watching videos to get me psyched for my new smile. I had a beautiful smile and started to lose my teeth due to a long heroine addiction. I have been on methadone for over 5 years now and my teeth just went to crap fast once I got on the done. I’m now 33 years old and bummed to have to go thru this but now that my teeth in the front are starting to break down my beautiful smile isn’t so beautiful anymore. Before, everyone who met me always complimented me on my smile. So now I’m excited to be getting my smile back and not be so self conscious about it anymore. Thanks for ur video and sharing! How did the surgery go? Were you able to get same day dentures? It will take you a few months to get really comfortable with them but it gets better as time goes on ☺

thanks for this video, I can relate to your story 100% my teeth hurt so.i just did more dope to numb the pain and for the emotional side of it too. you are gorgeous, I need to get mine done I'm 29 and have needed to.get them done since I was probably like 25 back then they were not as bad as they are today. I want to be able to smile like you are, you have all your confidence back having them. my goal is to get implants when I can afford them but I need to get to the dentist and get dentures to avoid any further bone lose. I've just been soo scared i hate the dentist and all my teeth are broke to the gum line and I will need to be put to.sleep to get then out. for some reason novocaine doesn't work 100% for me I was given the max dose one multiple occasions and still was feeling pain. I honestly just want my confidence back and to be able to have a social life again. my everyday life is affected in such a bad way due to my teeth I feel.like everyone is always staring at me and judging me. it's been hard to find a job, to date ( I havent even met anyone cuz of it, I did meet one guy who I told before meeting and he told.me.i was still gorgeous, which meant a lot to.me) he seen me for me and not for my messed up smile, but not everyone is like that. I hope your doing well, sorry for rambling on, you have helped me make up my mind and to just go for it. I have abscesses on my gums they hurt soo bad I could not touch my cheeks or lay my face on a pillow, I popped them and have a hole in them so now I have to.squeeze them on the daily, its soo gross and soo unhealthy. I just cant wait to.get my smile back and be able to.eat and be social

Well after my dentist recommend me to dentures place, I went to get the molds and the guy said "why would you get dentures your too cute and too young" I almost slapped the shit out of him right there lol. So now I have to find someone else who will actually look at my mouth, not just my face. Im frustrated but it will happen, I won't give up til I get them. Thanks for replying. I'll hit you up.
I'm 5 years sober. I was hooked on heroin for about 11 years and I'm 32 now. So I get the struggle. I need my teeth done. And I'm watching a bunch of these videos trying to gain some confidence to go. I'm on suboxon and have been for a while SO I know whatever pain meds they give me won t work.
First of all Baby girl, they wont prescribe pain meds AT ALL. They'll give you a script for Antibiotics and maybe a nausea medicine. They will tell you to take 2 Advil Liquid gels and 1 extra stregnth Tylonal for the pain.
I'm 27 and was on the needle for about 3 years straight, everyday, no matter what. Between the effects of using IV and then the usual side effects of the dope by 25 I was getting tooth aches everyday and pieces of teeth breaking off,even in my sleep too. But I've been on Suboxone for a a Year and a Half now and am doing great with it. I turned 27 on Jan 11th and on Jan 31st they pulled my top teeth pulled, 15, I still had my wisdom teeth. And then on Feb 14th had my bottoms pulled, keep in mind I had 3 wisdom teeth formed that he pulled too. Like I said, they wont prescribe any kind of pain killer when you're on it. They tell you to take the advil and tylonal at the same time every 4 hours. The pain isnt bad. If I can do it, ANYBODY can do it. It isnt so bad as far as the pain goes, it's more of the soreness, especially with Immediate dentures like I got. But the Suboxone does help, VERY LITTLE, with pain the first few days. Good Luck! DO NOT BE ASHAMED OR SCARED. If you're hurting now then it only gets worse. I promise, it's worth it and you can start to see that after about a week. I ate a Hershey bar last night, milk chocolate, and didnt get a tooth ache after and I sat and cried. Patience is key though!
You don’t need pain meds it’s not even bad a little ibuprofen for swelling and an antibiotic and your good to go.

Just followed you brotha and good shit man happy you're not in pain and finally feel good about yourself. I have a affordable dentures like 30 minutes away from my house and i definitely need to do it but have no finances to yet, i hoping my family can help but dealing with this crazy year who knows. My teeth are almost all just to the top of the gums and thats it so im pretty sure I'll have to pay for the surgical removals, i think i might only have maybe like 11 or 13 that could be pulled but the others surgical i just hate how thats like 40 to 60$ more lol im 29 brotha and i feel you on pain i recently been using amoxicillin, ibuprofen and tylenol to assist the pain i been in for 2 months now. I figured if i went through them id probably have to rough around 5k. How were the ones you got when you left? And what was the bone procedure you mentioned? Like did you have to pay hella for that? Bro, so my teeth are fucked and all I do is drink too much soda and smoke too much pot and cigarettes lmao but I get accused of being a meth head all the time bc I’m super skinny and it’s so heart breaking to me. I’m looking at all my options and could get some crowns but I’m afraid my teeth would still hurt and it’d be a waste of money 🤷🏻♂️ when I could just do the dentures but your story is so relatable bc my self confidence is non existent due to my teeth. It all started as cavities and I couldn’t afford dental work and it’s just progressed to the point of being out of control..
I got my teeth removed and then the pandemic hit. So now I have 6 front teeth on top and6 on bottom needing dentures and can’t go get them. So relatable about how people thing the opiates caused the bad teeth but actually the teeth pain caused the addiction. I had $9,000 saved up for my teeth and to start my life and it all got stolen from me and the worst part is I don’t even know who took it because the only addicts I let in my home were I thought my friends.

Cost wise did you have insurance or did you just go in with the cash?
I didn't have insurance luckily my biological father that lives in Missouri is well off and he payed for everything. Everything all together was just under 5 grand! That's with 31 extractions and 2 sets of dentures and was the best deal I was able to find.

I'm 29 in about ten days getting all teeth extracted. I'm covered in tats too but never did drugs and people act like mine is from drug use. In fact I was getting impressions today and ended up having a panic attack they actually kicked me out because I was too difficult to deal with. Now rushing to get immediates asap from another place.
I feel you forsure bro. I hated going to the dentist or hospital because my teeth were so bad and being turned away or looked down on because everyone assumed my teeth were from drug use when in reality I was just born with bad teeth. Is there an affordable dentures near you? That's where I went and I highly recommend checking them out if you can.
@@mrlogand That's actually where I went and all this happened at. So I'm going Monday for an exam at Aspen dental and hoping they can do the impressions and get them made before my surgery date on the 26th. Rushing now to have teeth for that day. Really making me more nervous about the whole situation. They are going to do oral sedation and I really hope that's enough to get me through the ordeal without freaking out. My anxiety has never been so bad as it is now lol
@@wasdnagel8125 ahh man im sorry that happened to you. Do you have a history of anxiety attacks? I thought about oral sedation but I didnt have insurance and it was really expensive so I just had to tough it out and honestly it wasn't bad at all. My teeth were very weak though and I had a ton of infection in my gums so that's probablhy why they came out so easily.
@@mrlogand Oh yeah I've had terrible anxiety for a long time. I've got lots of infection too. I think as long as I can get through the damn impressions I'll be good. I'm the type to hardly take a Tylenol so I'm sure the pill they give me is going to knock me out good (hopefully). Appreciate the videos tho watching people's experience is the only thing helping me not back out of it.

Your still young enough to save your teeth just maintain a healthy bushing routine. My teeth basically destroyed me because thats where my addiction stemmed from. Thanks for watching 🙏
Do the Affordable Denture place do permanent dentures?
Yep they do implants but not with every tooth like clear choice they do 3-4 on top and 3-4 on bottom if you want to pay for it. Its expensive though around $1,500 per implant!
I'm 27 and thankfully married but I'm day 4 after extraction, I still had 5 baby teeth without adults to replace them and overlapped teeth and broken teeth that were below the gums, so I had them all taken out, my upper dentures look like beaver teeth and I can't close my mouth, but I will be going back to affordable dentures in Tulsa. For adjustments, I knew my immediate dentures I have now won't look as good as my permanents ( I paid for their best quality untrafit I believe is the name) so they should be better than what I have now lol. But I have been in a lot of pain especially when I take them out to clean and when I put them back in, o man does it hurt. I'm ready to get past this stage but I would do it again than have to keep my original teeth. 💯
Those first few days are the worst! I didnt like my first set either and i actually paid for the cheapest set (economy). I was worried forsure and that first year was touch and go as far as comfort goes. But my final set was way better and fits perfect! Stick in there until you get your final set and you will be on cloud 9 👌

Every time I start to doubt, I take a drink lol. Do you still get to eat everything you did before or have you had to lose the joy of eating like stake, corn on the cob...… I'm southern fed lol I am hoping I can stay that way lol.
No problem! Im actually from New Madrid, missouri so I too am southern fed lol. Yea im a framer so i drink ALOT of vomd Pepsi every day. And i love being able to actually bite into ice cream. I have to slice apples to eat em and yep i can eat steak too. Corn on the cobb i have to cut it off but its no biggy.
