They could have loaded some onto the top level of the building because he has to load them up there also and thier truck was high enough to load the metals from it to the top level.

Good afternoon Kinza Babe, in Jamaica it's called "beef patty" but now we also have additional variety !example cheese, chicken, callaloo, vegetable, these are baked; (salt fist fritters)
The filling is according to the region and culture. We make salt fish fritters also.🫶🏾
@kinzababe1 This type is safer also because you can keep it open when needed and shut it when needed and it's safer and not a hazard to prevent any escape in an emergency.

Jamaican Patty, comes with different meat and or vegetable, such as beef, cheese, chicken,vegetables...etc..
Jamaicans say salt fish flitters....fried it is most tasty😅
We have both salt fish fritters and pate.
@kinzababe1 the meat pie is also known as turnover in some countries and they add the name of tbe filling to it like apple turnover, meat/fish turnover, its also called embanada by the Spanish and latino community and there's also both fried or baked versions, and the middle is or west asians call it samosa which is also mostly fried.
Also with the Spanish/latino versions they have a variety of stuffings/filling too, it could be cheese, meat or fish or fruits or even meat and fruits. But you are rught tgd Saltfish ones taste better. I like that too.
Yes I know the Spanish version empanadas I’ve been to Puerto Rico many times it’s our neighboring island also a US territory. When I didn’t have my island kind of pate, I would settle for the empanadas in Florida..

9000 cedis a ton the price hike 1000 cedis. Steel is not cheap.
@Kinzababe1 I know this video was from yesterday but it would have been better they dropped the metals on your land and this could have been much better and easier for you guys because now they have tp spend time moving the iron rods back to the site for work, leaving it at the poultry farm has the same equal risk of theft because thieves can go get it there too, and you could have had someone stay overnight to look after things for you.
Best it to get your carpenter to block the front entrance of the shops with wood sealing the front and make a temporary door to it to store the materials like the iron rods and cement in it and some workers can also sleep over to look after things for you. So please have him secure the front of the shops and rear entrance for storage. Much better this way.
And for the person saying you compromise security of the building being in the wall they don't know security and don't understand, so did they want the shops to be inside a walled compound for customers to access via your gates? Besides the shops will be secured and with the electric fencing round your wall you can have some also sticking out along the first floor level away from the building if you want to prevent any one using a ladder to climb via the balcony, or you could have alarms or even the passy guard installed on the balcony and you can draw close it when needed and keep open when not needed, it stays out of sight and wouldn't bother you as it folds to one corner of the balcony wall. Passy guards are a great deterrent and it keeps burglars away, and a good wsy to secure your home if you travel.
I will secure one of the shops After they remove the bamboo. There is not much room for storage right now.
Doing it at the poultry farm worked out because they have one watching the poultry for 24 hours.
I don’t know what a passy guard is but it’s something I could look into.

I think that hotel triple X owner got its name from the movie triple X and not the usual triple X referring to the adult naughty stuff as we all know about. Unless the owner actually meant the name to refer to what is supposed to come in minds of people.

But also your steel bender knowing he was incapable to start work yesterday should have reorganised you to make the purchase earlier the next day morning to be delivered quick for him to start work. Its true they had concerns about the safety of tge iron rods, but your wood wasn't stolen either, and he should have done just as i said above. Sometimes please try to get good solution that favours you because they can also make costly decisions. Because the next morning they might ask for a vehicle to move it back to your land or spend thd entire day moving it back and cannot or may not even start working wich will be today, and the iron rods will have to stay on your land anyway. Meaning all that costly and time wasting effort lead to nothing but loss if time and cash to pay for more manpower and delays. Think about it.
I understand but either way I was taking a risk. I have to pay for the transportation back to the property from the poultry farm. Our I could have paid someone to spend the night. It still would have cost me.
@@kinzababe1 i know, thats why i recommended it could have been best to make the purchase really early and he should be ready to start right away that day. Anyway its happened already, was this metal purchase for just this upper level casting of concrete or you bought more for the roof too?
When you start your major large projects and you need more large quantities its best you buy directly from the steel works in Ghana at the Tema industrial area or check out for more, also same as the cement you can buy large quantity from the factory at cheaper rate. The good deal is sometimes you can pay upfront and collect when needed, this way you dodge any inflation or price hike.

It’s cheaper but what about the transport from Tema is it free when you purchase there?
@@kinzababe1 this needs to be checked with the factories if they can do that as a package deal, sometimes also even with your own transport still makes a big difference to be honest, but it all belongs to the quantity, that will determine your option to choose.
