What's kinda funny is that when it comes to big franchises that come out with a new product there are a big wave of people who say "The original creator knew what they were doing these new writers don't understand their vision" You can't make that same argument for Alien. I have heard from countless people that Ridley Scoot ruined Alien or that they don't want him to be apart of the franchise going forward. They don't care if it was his idea to make the Xenomorphs bio-engineered weapons they still think it was a terrible decision. Being the creator doesn't automatically mean he should get a free pass. To them it hurts more than it came from him because they thought he of all people would know how you handle the Alien franchise
