    Is it alcoholic then? If it ferments then the yeast should be releasing alcohol into the liquid correct?

    • @CaitlinShoemaker

    • @rozamunduszek4787
      @rozamunduszek4787 Před 7 lety +3

      Cat Fisk the amount of alcohol there is negligible, kinda like in bread and other products that use baking yeast, i.e. they technically do contain trace amounts of alcohol but nobody would ever not eat bread just because of that

    • @CyberMachine
      @CyberMachine Před 6 lety

      I took a sleeping pill and had a glass of kombucha before that. 30 minutes later I was vomitting everywhere. So be very careful since you don't know how much alcohol is in every batch

    • @TheDevilDarling
      @TheDevilDarling Před 7 lety

      Romy Fernandez i think aslong as metal doesnt touch the scoby its fine. And from what ive read its only certain metals that are a problem but its probably best to avoid all of them.

    What are the benefits of drinking kombucha??

    • @drama4anna
      @drama4anna Před 8 lety +3

      It is a probiotic. Aids in digestion and immune health. It has helped some people with weight loss and other things as well. Even without all those benefits it is just a delicious, natural, low calorie, and low sugar (around 3-7 grams per serving), drink.

    • @drama4anna

    • @theveganrd5770
      @theveganrd5770 Před 8 lety +5

      The end result kombucha has little to no sugar if that's what you're concerned about. It's all "eaten" by the scoby which needs its to ferment so there should be little to none in your final product.

      1. the scoby "eats" the sugar, there is very little left in the actual drink 2. a little sugar is certainly not going to kill you in the long run haha
