I like the depth these colors bring out. I could sit and stare at it all day....and ponder.
I have been a painter on all materials and chair of arts and teacher at colleges for years and MLang is the critical selection of an "artist" for me. We were never allowed to use the title. We called ourselves painters. He is a true spirit.

I found your demos not to long ago and I soon found myself absolutely stunned by your work. Your way to and eye for creating movement, blending colours and creating this breathtaking play between light and shade in your pieces honestly just leaves me in awe. THANK YOU for sharing this with us! You've become such a huge source of inspiration for me and my work.
Now, I have a few questions - I would appreciate it so very much if you'd have the time to answer them.
You often use multiple brushes at more or less the same time... I'm guessing one of them is mainly used for blending - do you keep it clean and/or damp all the time? Also, how long does it take you to paint this piece for example? Does the paint stay wet/damp during the whole process (using some king of medium?) or do you paint over dry layers, like scumbling when blending?

hey vaelea, lets see you do any better. I have just got into abstract painting and I think this picture is absolutely a masterpiece. It does look like a cosmic explosion to me but you can call it whatever your heart desires. I think you are gifted and extremely talented and I love the way you use more than one brush. It seems like you apply the paint with one brush and then you blend it on the canvas with the other. I really enjoyed watching you make nothing into something spectacular. You now have a new subscriber.

no water, I use an acrylic medium.
I use a medium to blend, no retarder. If the paint drys fast it pushes me to move faster and not think to long or second guess! Think of it that way and its easier to break the conventional process. Good luck.
