    Bottom line BTS know how to keep their audience engaged. When this song was produced Korea had the highest suicide rate amongst young people. Some were forced to study from 7 till 10 o'clock in a highly competitive society where academic success was felt as as the only thing that mattered. BTS knew their audience at that time produced for the widest appeal because the message was important. So this is aimed at very young fans. BTS are very specific about their messaging and audience its aimed at. Never believe anything is lazy. It's just not one of the songs where you were ever intended to be the audience. Unless you are a korean teen in disguise. Being said. I love it for its energy and humour.

    'thank you suga, cuz imma bout to say some shi*t' - the way i cackled. also the increasing volume of my laugh every time the beat came in and your face screwed up - ahhhaaaaa ha ha. anyway you are correct in your assumption about the sports connection with this song , it's been used in arenas everywhere as a hype song even in the US. and many people have admitted to adding it to their workout playlist. for army the dance break in concert is always anticipated and they kill it every time but to be fair bts rarely perform this song in full any more - it's usually part of a medley of their older songs

    I'm sorry but I was laughing the whole video 🤣🤣🤣 I knew you wouldn't like this one because you didn't like Dope. The 'burning up' or 'bultaoreune' before the beat drop is iconic (like the whole song lol). Yoongi was the one that suggested it because in his hometown Daegu they say this phrase when they are trying to hype themselves up I guess, so he recorded it in his Daegu dialect and they used it.

    About the song, Fire is so loved everywhere. Old, young...everyone loves and vibes with it. When fire plays everyone is so hyped especially live and when army gathers. And at concert and award shows it's next level everything, and of course like u said when one like such hype, than too. Also like one army said, the sounds were popular when they were made and BTS age were also perfect for it. This is one of the song that gave BTS more fame and recognition....ppl loved it and still to this day when BTS is introduced...Fire will be there💗❤‍🔥.

    Whatever your feedback is, it’s always honest, interesting and funny ! I knew you wouldn’t like this one and it’s ok !!! BTS can drive people who have « mainstream » tastes to love some edgy sounds and they sometimes make edgy people appreciate some mainstream pieces. It does not always work on you and I’m fine with that ‘cause you stay true to yourself. Being yourself is the non-stop message from BTS and I respect that so I respect you. That makes you a very singular and entertaining reactor to the group ! As far as I'm concerned, I Purple you Jurnalist ! 💜

  • @pjmbyul
    @pjmbyul Před 25 dny +7

    I think one very important part of BTS' identity that they personally talk about a lot is that they see themselves as concert artists. They make lots of tracks with the vision of performing them, not necessarily someone casually streaming them (then again, this sort of song goes hard in the car). At the time of this song's release, it pulled from majorrr popular sounds. It was a hit.

  • @fifiroukine5331
    @fifiroukine5331 Před 25 dny +9

    This song was for a long time used as an "announcement" when BTS arrived on talk shows, awards,... "Bultaoreune" had the same kind of usage for Yoongi.
    The choreo goes very hard, pretty impressive but exhausting for them. Still a legendary one tho. The music/beat is a banger for stadium (even if it was not yet their stadium era) But I don't agree with you, some club in Europe can play this kind of hard beat - even harder - and people dance on it. Guess you never frequented this type of club given that you don't like the vibe ^^
    Lyrics wise, it's an important song for Jin who gained more confidence over his skills with the meaning of his own verse.
    Anyway, like the song. The best to do some chores!

    This would go hard in a club in germany idk what you mean.
    But seriously, I think these high energy songs are mostly performance pieces. These are the big dance numbers on stage or used for getting the crowd hyped up. Like fire live is insane, the choreo is awesome. Though, you might like the mix they did for the song during their PTD tour, it was a bit more toned down and had a darker feel to it. (if I remember correctly)

  • @leeankt
    @leeankt Před 25 dny

    No surprise that this wasn’t to your taste since you weren’t a big fan of Dope. I think you’re right about what people like about it, but the “bultaoruene” followed by the beat drops makes people go crazy in a club or concert. Surprised you didn’t hear this electronic sound more in clubs when you were in Germany, but maybe it’s a difference in the type of club you were in. I do in part hear Fire, Dope, and others of this era as a distinct sound shift that allowed them to level up their dance game in a different way. They had some difficult and fun choreography prior to this, but it’s part of them hitting their stride. It’s sonically distinct from the prior era, while still being a message aimed at youth or people who are struggling. Fire is at slightly different than Dope in that even if you don’t particularly rock with Fire, if it comes on and you’re not really paying attention, sometimes you’ll find yourself unconsciously grooving to it, and then you’ll recognize it and be like, wait do I like this song now? Hahaha. Loving your reactions in this side quest. 💜

      he should react if he wants to but no offense stray kids has way more noise than bts fire and dope so i dont think he'll like their music much i been watching him for a while and knew certain bts songs he wont like and was right. i just listened to megaverse cause i was gonna type this only knowing gods menu and maniac but i wanted to see if this one was different but sorry its a little more rap heavy but the production is similar so just a heads up not hate to you or stray kids but he may not like it. maybe recommend a less produced song like less chaos/noise idk how to explain it cause he doesnt just like simple production but like these types are too much i have a idea of his preference but sometimes im wrong cause i didnt think he would like bts save me but he does. so try a more not slower but like gods menu manica and megaverse try to give him a rec that dont sound like those. but who knows maybe he'll like it maybe im wrong. just dont get mad at him expressing his honest opinions see how armys are ok with him not liking it? try to be like that even if its your favorite not everyone will like it :) i hope stays are nice to him if he decides to react to them even if he doesnt like it.
