    The movement that you show at 8:05 is it possible in reality? Wouldn't there be some restrictions from the bone to prevent movement of the root at such a long distance?

    • @irfansinstituteofclinicalortho
      @irfansinstituteofclinicalortho  Před 2 měsíci

      Movements are always gradual in orthodontics and of course bone will resist too. But bone resorbs on force application.
      Secondly, when we try to learn biomechanics we have to neglect all other factors and focus on just force and its 3 dimensional response on tooth

    I am 27 years old, My teeth is slightly project outward. Can we push upper jaw downward with teeth using braces?
    I have seen many videos in CZcams about pushing teeth downward with jaw, but my orthodentist telling, it is impossible to move upper jaw downward with brace,
    Is it true or not?

    • @irfansinstituteofclinicalortho
      @irfansinstituteofclinicalortho  Před 3 lety

      Well. Can't say without examination... downward movement of jaw is not possible but movement of teeth possible in all directions

      @@irfansinstituteofclinicalortho Thank you for the valuable reply sir,
      My upper and lower teeths are slightly project outward. My upper jaw having slight outward projection. Now I am 27 years old.
      I have a doubt, If we move the upper front teeth downward then is there a chance of movement of upper jaw downwards?
      I have consulted some orthodentist, some of them told, It is impossible to move down the upper jaw with teeth using braces, only possiblity is jaw surgery.
      But few orthodentist told me, they are using expensive braces, so they can move upper jaw downward with teeth using braces. Is it possible?
      Now I am totally confused.
      Please clarify my doubt sir🙏🙏
