- Which restaurants are really worth your money when your travelling a new country? We all count on our google maps, TripAdvisor to orient us in the right direction in an unknown town. The goal is usually the best food for the best price. In today's video I'm taking you with me and two of my favourite travel companions to test out three restaurants and two cafeterias around Malta. All of which are among best reviewed on Google maps.
Are they worth our and your time and money? One is definitely a fail as far as I'm concerned.

You mean in markets or restaurants? I was surprised, at least for restaurants how you can get great options for reasonable prices, but have to do some digging through the internet first.

I agree with you. It's an art of travel - everyone is trying to rip you off at tourist locations. Wherever the locals go will have cheaper food. There is no real art in that cuisine - not disrespecting their culture but a street food stall in India has 100 times more art than a risotto.

I think you have to be southern European to enjoy this type of food, as it resembles Italian food with a seafood tendency. It seems bland and uninspired if you're used to any kind of eastern food. Not saying you're wrong to enjoy it - just that people have different tastes. Fortunately, there are kebab shops and Chinese, plus KFC, McD and all sorts of other food available there.
I am from the North of Germany and I would eat that any time I had the opportunity.
@@Octopussyist Risottos and panacottas and plain grilled fish? You can get that in Germany. It's worth maybe a third of what the restaurants in this video charge. Malta's one of those places where there are 10 private yachts and 10000 people who think others believe that they own a yacht... I'm not one for Mediterranean overrated food. If it helps to explain things, I am middle-aged, of Indian origin, born in Britain, grew up in Britain and France, have travelled extensively in Asia and have lived in Spain. Seen it all, and there's nothing to this Mediterranean food culture.
Well I believe you’re in luck than 😁 Chinese, Mcdonalds and some other chains are basically impossible not to be find in Europe, at least that has been my experience 😁 I think in Europe no matter the taste one has in food, they’ll definitely find something down their lane. But I always like to stick to the country’s type of food when I’m visiting, it is a way I experience the place to the fullest-quite literately 😁 When I go to US I guess it’ll be Mcdonalds every day 😂😁

eating out in malta is cheap to eat out the holidaymaker is rich ask them how much they earn, your a millionaire to what they earn
I couldn’t say it’s cheap, at least not for us travelers from south countries, however we do love to support the local economy by eating out wherever we can afford that andMalta is one of those options ☺️
