I love when they bend non G1 characters to G1 aestatic while preserving their uniqueness
To be honest, I didn’t think it always worked, such as Prime Universe Arcee, but honestly I feel that plenty of them do. I’m unsure of whether or not there’s a point in doing so.
@@banobobot there is ofcourse a point why a good %~90 percentage of entire (non movie) Transformer figures that has been produces since 2018 have a standart "little stylized" G1 aestatic and a standart scale, inculding Siege, Earthrise, Kingdom, ss86, Legacy years 1 2 3.
so that we can bend newer figures more easily to already existed collections and have a more cohesive look to collections with characters from different universes overall ( like in case of RB Chase, Cyberverse Windblade, and animated bumblebee, although all of them had very different aestatics originaly, their toys look bendable to biggest portion of most of collectors figures because all of them have standart size and style)
Not only that but also not even a 3 years toyline is enough to give all characters at the same time, so for example thanks to g1ization of toys, we can have cohesive looking dinobots from ss86 next to stunticons from legacy year 1
Would love to see a leader or (probably won’t happen, but it would be cool if it did) commander class Animated Universe Lugnut
I'm so glad to finally have a Windblade toy. I love her design.
Cyberverse was probably my favorite interpretation so far.
Rumors say a Slipstream retool is in the future, I'll pick up that one and get axTR or Generations Windblade somewhere.

I'm not usually a fan of the 'Prime' style, but this figure looks awesome.
Well this is based on her Cyberverse look, but yeah I agree. The figure is.
It's nice that you've got Windblade, now you can make funny stop-motions with her along with the others. However, I had some difficulty looking at her while Teletraan-1 is her background at first because of my poor eyesight. Took me quite a while to re-adjust, though.
I'm getting her because I'll be happy to finally have a wing blade in my collection without having to turn to eBay and some of these people's over market prices

The flame effect on the sword would work better if they had given her a single engine exhaust instead of making her a twin engine aircraft.
I really don't like the wings either, but I do appreciate them being mounted on friction pegs which will make it much easier to replace.
I really don't want them to use this mould for Slipstream.
Slipstream should have her own mould.
Windblade is a cool character with an interesting alternate mode, so she has more than one fan. 😅

She looks OK in robot mode, she has good proportions as the WFC and Legacy lines have been very good with fembots. But that jet mode really suffers, the lack of paint is jarring. I kinda wish she had been sold as a Voyager like Override, to allow a little extra budget to go into her. I would have paid the extra.
I have had her for several weeks now myself. It's cool that you can pose her as she draws her sword from her hip like a samurai. And, she can even hold the sword "double-handed". 😎
I almost forgot about her head piece as well. It's so small in the wrapper that I missed it. I was only able to remember it because I was reading the instructions. 😅
I rewatched Cyberverse a couple of times and the sword is activated like a lightsaber in Star Wars.
I'm aware. I just prefer the classic samurai sword on the waist approach since she's designed as she is.
There are definitely plenty of Autobot and Decepticon g2 jets that would work with this mold. On the topic of jets, I'm hoping hasbro will give us g1 Dreadwing and Darkwing in voyager scale and hopefully make their combination look better. It would be great if they gave us a GoBots Leader One from the earthrise seeker mold too!
I could see a Generations Selects of this in her Titan Force colors (US Civil War blue & gray) doing well. If the mold gets retooled into Slipstream, the bell bottoms could be seen as weighted boots to help with stability & recoil while shooting. The Titan Returns feels more swordswoman body built to me, while T30 feels more double pistols gunswoman to me. Not sure I would say this mold divides the difference between the two body types. I prefer the black nose cone over white nose cone myself btw.
She looks awesome! A whole lot better than the TR/T30 one! I actually don't like the white on the nosecone on the T30 one at all, its ugly. & the jet mode on the T30/TR one is all wrong. & the proportions are too weird & the head (cuz of being a Headmaster), looks bad & too blocky. The Legacy Cyberverse one looks 100,000% better in design, proportions, paint (its exceptional), everything! I'm fine with the sword, but it would've been nice if it looked more like it did in CV, & not all flamey. & having the sword work similarly to a Lightsaber in CV was a pretty sick idea. & the wings being a little waffley from the front isn't a big deal for me, its fine. & her face is ALOT better than the T30/TR one. Her articulation & posing look great! I can't wait to get this Masterpiece (not literally MP, like from that line, obviously) figure in hand! The crown/fan should never be removed & should always be displayed on her head, it feels so wrong to take it off. This has to be the best Windblade figure ever!
& if her mold is used for Slipstream, then plz, plz be an extensive retool! She should be something like Metalhawk from Cyclonus or retooled even more.

Definitely a figure I'm gonna be picking up. She looks fantastic. Not a fan of how the blade looks but the peg on the leg looks cool.

Sick Windblade, I own the RID (2015) warrior class and felt like that was all I needed of her. Also yeah, Hasbro still doing paper bags is a bit ugh to me due to potentially losing any small accessories in the future.

Idk about the mold. I wasn't a fan of the cyberverse figures, so this might be a pass for me.

Titans Return looks alot better in both modes.
Looks maybe. Play wise, Legacy. The Legends one (Titans Return mold) lacks a lot in articulation that really hinders my enjoyment of the figure. I've felt that way since I got it.

The Cyberverse version of Windblade really isn't the best version of her, is it?
Character wise, not necessarily. Design choice she works as a whole.
how can she fly with those tiny ass wings?
Who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if a 3rd party will make a wing kit for her.
