madhyāntasaukhyaḥ kṣitipālavandyo yuddhapriyo vāraṇavājiyuktaḥ| svakarmadharmābhirato dayāluryogo nṛpaḥ syādyadi pārijātaḥ||7|157||

*_I was reading about Goddess Aranyani from the Rig Veda and discovered that she is the owner of the Kalpavriksha tree and then found out that it is also linked with Jyotish. How amazing! It seems like it is similar to the Norse Pagan religion's Yggdrasil, a giant tree supporting the universe, having in it the nine worlds as per Norse Mythology 🌲._*
The Kalpavriksha as in Jyotish is related to yoga for prosperity so desires of jataka shall be fulfilled and has nothing to with the Concept of scriptures in that sense. Did you read a translation of vedas or a word-by-word translation? Vaidik grammar is different to one used in modern time and not very easy to interpret even by those knowing modern Sanskrit. Kalpavriksha does not support universe, if my understanding is right. It was actually obtained by churning of sea. It was taken by Indra king of gods and planted in heaven.
Much appreciation sir for your and effort. Now a days people seems to be trying to teach Jyotish like a fixed template that certain placement and lagna and yoga will give so and so results. In such a time you are a breeze of fresh air. Like you said a yoga's reasoning has to be understood and then extrapolating that reasoning to other places one could come to fairly close results. Sadly not many teach and talk like this.
I think like other studies experience and zeal for subject matters.

Shall do that if I get time, though classics do not talk of degree wise conjunctions. That is used more in western astrology.
Where can i write u for payed Analyse? I have this yoga with Jupiter moon and mercury. Jupiter exalted in 7th bhava but retrograde
I do not look at charts unless there is some serious issue and the person is in front of me. So that might be a bit difficult as I stay in Nagpur.
Sir! My lagna is Cancer. Sun, Mercury and Venus is placed in lagna. Lagna lord moon is placed in libra along with Rahu. And Moon is placed in Gemini in D-9. Will it be considered as Kalpadrum Yoga?
Do you really think all the conditions are fulfilled?
My only doubt is regarding own sign/ exaltation sign. If it’s Kendra/kona OR own/exaltation sign then yes… and if it is AND then surely No
Namaskar Sir. Many thanks for the elucidating the nuances of the sloka. Since this yoga emphasizes on the placement of planets from the lagna, should the bhava chalit chakra be used for knowing the exact placement of the planets or should the rashi chakra be only assessed? If bhava chakra is to be used then it would invite another question on which system Porphyry/Shripati (unequal house) or Placidus/Krishnamoorti (equal house) system should be used? There is an answer to the latter question but I would like to know your views on the first question.
I would say, no. Bhavachalit is being practiced no doubt, but is not the system of sages and hence I do not use it. The reason is though bhava ownership might remain the same, the planet would appear to be occupying a different bhava and results would also differ and might not come out in accordance with the shloka. So use only Rashi chakra equal house system is the best.

Mercury, The lagna lord for gemini ascendant placed on 10th house which is Kendra house in pisces sign. It's lord jupiter placed in 2nd house in cancer sign which is exalted. It's lord moon , which is placed in 4th house which is kendra or center house. In navamsa moon is also in center house no 4. Does it consider parijata yoga ? Plz reply 🙏🏻

sir but after reading bv raman definition on parijaata yog ,it is something different,he used the word 'or' between two definitions either this way or either this way.
I was weaned on Dr Raman's books and respect him much so would not want to comment on his views. I think the "Vaa" i.e. or refers to Kendra or Kona placement of planets referred to in the shloka being in own rashi or in exaltation rashi. Actually sometime "Vaa" meaning or is also used to align yoga with the cChanda of the yoga. That again is why there are many commentaries on the same Sanskrit classics. I think I have also said that there are many editions of BPHS and same yoga appears in Jataka Parijata in a bit different form. I trust that makes the position clear.
what according to you is middle age as predicted in this yoga.......in jyotish it is said alpayu from 0 to 32 and from 32 to 70 is madhya ayu or middle age and from 70 to 100 purna ayu.from 100 to 120 is dirghayu.
For cancer ascendent moon placed in 9th house pisces & pisces Lord Jupiter (retrograde) is in 7th house Capricorn in lagna chart means parijata or kalpadruma yoga ? Pls tell

thankyou sir. If this final lord is in Kendra or Trine, BUT is Vakri or with Rahu/Ketu OR combust,
will it vitiate the Yoga ? Also as I understand as per other discourses, Not ALL the Lords have to be in Kendra or Trine and Own house or exhaltation or Moolatrikona house. Only the Final lord needs to be. I may be wrong, pls correct
I think all the lords should be endowed with strength. A retrograde planet is 3 ties as strong as when in direct motion. However you are free to your views.

Sir, for Sagittarius ascendant, lagna lord Jupiter is placed in the 9th house in Leo, lord of Leo - Sun is placed in Leo itself with Mercury. Now this same sun is placed in virgo sign in navamsha chart (navamsha has Gemini rising). Will this create the kalpadrum/parijat yoga? Please reply.

@@jyotishteachings can you please tell why, because if the lagna lord Jupiter is placed in 9th house Leo (trikon), Jupiter's dispositor sun is also placed in 9th house Leo (trikon) and because sun is in its own sign, so the dispositor of the dispositor of lagna lord is also sun itself, sitting in one of the mul trikon houses (9th), in navamsa sun's dispositor is mercury ( in virgo sign, 4th house of d9 chart) which is also sitting in the 9th house of d1 chart with the sun and Jupiter. All of them are sitting in mul trikon sign. Then why it is not kalpadruma yoga sir?
In kark lagna, moon in aries, mars in scorpio in lagna chart, mars in capricorn, saturn in pisces in navamsa and then exalted saturn in libra in lagna chart... Does this qualify?

Jupiter in 1st house in sagittarius (this is hamsa yoga)
In Navamsa jupiter is in libra in 4th house

Yes. Had Venus be placed in 4th house that is in its exaltation the yoga would be even more powerful. Of course, in my opinion had the lagnesh been placed in a different rashi in kendra or trikona the effect would be very powerful.
My lagna is Sagittarius, lagna lord Jupiter is in 7th house with rahu and venus (Gemini)

Do you think it meets all the parameters? Yogas need to have exact placements. Other planets with those specified change the results.
In Virgo asc, Mercury in Capricorn sign, Saturn in Aquarius sign, and in D9 chart Mercury and Saturn conjunction in Aquarius sign(1st house). Does this qualify?

Respected to you sir..In my birth chart cancer ascendant moon placed in 5th house Scorpio..The rasi lord mars placed in simha rasi with ketu mercury and Venus without benfic aspect,mars placed sign lord sun in cancer sign..then mars placed in 10th house from moon..and sun in 9th house from moon..And in navamsa lagna lord also moon(vargottam ascendant) placed in 7 th house Capricorn ,mars placed in 1st house navamsa and moon sign lord Saturn in leo navamsa..So this yoga has been applied to my chart r not? Plz clarify it sir..

It is known that moon in debilitation and also moon is aspected by the 4 aspect of mars..So there is a doubt whether this parijata yoga applicable r not sir?

Mars in Cancer does not satisfy the condition as it is debilitated. However it's delibitation is cancelled by Sun (neechabhanga) that's why I thought it could be. My understanding of this is only preliminary, sorry if I didn't understand this complicated yoga correctly.
Sir, I'm capricorn ascendant with jupiter in 1st house and saturn in 3rd house ( parivartan yoga occurs due to sign exchange) and in navamsa (gemini) Saturn in 8th house in capricorn.. so lagna lord (Saturn) in sign of capricorn in birth and navamsa...So Dear Sir i want to know what happens when Saturn creates Parijata yoga??

Where is the Jupiter placed? All the parameters have to be satisfied. Of course it would still be a yoga but on lesser scale. By the way the two yogas though appear to be different are not different.

Sir these 4 planets are in Kendra or trikona from each other OR are in Kendra and trikona from ascendant in rashi chart (if they are not swarashi or exalted in rashi chart and only 2 planets are exalted in D9.
In any kendra or trikona. The yoga has to have all ingredients present for full effect to ensue, according to the nature and placement of the planets.

@@jyotishteachings sir , for example, for saggitarious ascendant (dhanu lagna) , if lagnesh Jupiter in sign 1, and it's despositor Mars in sign 7, and now Mars despositor is Venus. Placement of Venus in D9, is in sign 3 , which is mercury. Coming back to D1 to see placements of Mercury, it is in sign 4 in D1.
Here all the planets with signs Ju(1) , Ma(7), Ve(5), Me (4) are in either Kendra or trikona from sign 1, here sign ( 1) is placement of lagnesh Jupiter, but they are not in Kendra or trikona from Asc saggitarious (dhanu sign) . Can we still consider this as kalpadrum yoga ?
