Good interview nice to see some transparency from the FAI , hopefully interviews like this are more common place now.

Good interview. One area of devolopment could be the possible future amalgamation of Loi and the Irish League which would create a lot of interest.

It will be an achievement for the League of Ireland to compete with the Vanarama National League (formerly Vauxhall Conference), let alone League One. There are clubs in the Northern Premier League at level 7 on the English pyramid with higher gate receipts than many League of Ireland clubs. One club in League One probably has the revenue of the entirety of the League of Ireland Premier Division. Most clubs regularly get high four figure/low five figure attendances with admission prices between £20 and £30 for adults. I just hope the powers that be realise the scale of the task that lies ahead.

@@manicmonday2468 I think being able to add 15 to 20 clubs to our league would be a great benefit. And I think over time all clubs would grow because of this

@@evancawley3236 Linfield, Cliftonville, and Glentoran are the only teams that would stand a chance in our top division...at that miles behind Rovers Derry and St Pats...I take your point it could help the second tier alright..

There was an increase in attendance ,because of the increase in capacity of tallaght and in the first division the increase was due to cork city
Edit the increase in capacity is not big enough to account for the increase of 600 000 on the the attendance pre covid

Cork drove down attendance until they challenged tbf

Almost every club in the premier division increased their attendance, wasnt just down to Rovers.

The rebrand is dreadful. The fai have had absolutely nothing to do with ticket/ fan growth. Absolutely b/s. The fai is still a joke. Mark is fighting a losing battle without government funding, gaa, rugby and horse racing got an awful lot of money and still do.

Channels like Copa90 and youtubers are the main reason for the growth. Also a sickness at hoe corporate the EPL is
