The Plaid is weight-reduced and running on the stock Pirelli P Zeros on 19” wheels. (Backseats and most rear material removed. Both front seats are still IN PLACE, along with all door panels, airbags, mirrors, 20 stereo speakers and subwoofer remain intact.)

Firebird looks like a 7 second car. He was toying with you.
At full boost, it could no doubt hit the 7s. (He’s already run 8.0s earlier this year with his less powerful turbos; he’s just working up to it and getting data along the way)

You can take plaid to store. A/c on, stereo up loud and no real coat except tires and electricity. That Firebird is quick but a money pit

How much hp has that scary fast furebird
This Firebird runs "No Time", meaning that he's trying to hide the most important data about his car's capabilities (HP, best ET, etc...)
Super impressive on that firebird! Also... one of my favorite GM models woth those huge nostrils. The Tesla will get 9.2 in the 1/4 and be daily driven and get well over 100k miles on it. Something to be said there too.

We're looking forward to seeing our first Lucid at the dragstip. Haven't even seen one on the road yet (only saw one in a showroom). They seem to be coming out of their factory fairly slow...
Interestingly, the past few months, there's now some Lucids over here in the SF Bay area. Of course, nowhere near other brands (especially where almost every other car is a Tesla here), but several months ago, I maybe saw 1 Lucid, and now see a different one nearly every day. But that's limited to only 1 observed per drive, of course.
@@v8ramair145 Maybe they started their deliveries on the west coast, as perhaps their service centers are fully ready there?
@TeslaPlaidChannel I believe so. I live pretty close to their headquarters and used to see quite a few test cars driving through the area. But they were definitely marked as test cars. The new ones I'm seeing over the past few months appear to be normal people/families driving. It'll be interesting to see if they keep expanding.

These would have been good ones for you to purposely red light on! Get bit o a closer finish. I think you did purposely red light on some cars in some other videos. I could be wrong though.
👍Yes, we did intentionally red light last week and got a close finish against an 8.60 car (‘69 582ci Camaro), but that guy was racing a full Sportsman tree that allowed me to leave on the first yellow.
With a Pro Tree there’s nothing shown until all 3 yellows and that’s already when we both immediately go. If I try to guess before those yellows, it could easily be 3 seconds early, and then I won’t even get a time slip. In fact, ANY early leave on a Pro Tree (before the yellows appear) results in no numbers on the scoreboard and no timeslip. Bottom line is that a Pro Tree makes an intentional “red light by a half second” essentially impossible.

👍 The Plaid is almost always there at Street Heat, today 4-7pm roll racing. (But if you are a “street racer”, then don’t bother…We only race guys that are smart enough not to endanger the public)
