    BIG thumbs up!! At 66 years of age, raised up in the northern woods of Minnesota........I must admit to a wry smile at the fact that "old school".... wins again. >;) Chris made a wise choice in selecting you. I sub to you and your channel remains as top quality across the board.

      Thank you very much. I'm honored that you took the time to watch. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you on Alone. This is a bit of a deceptive knife. It's got such a "substantial" look to it yet its a real featherweight. It's plenty stout enough for some heavier work yet is quite adept at the fine tasks as well. And it looks good doing it!

    • @NicoleApelian
      @NicoleApelian Před 7 lety

      Hi! So glad you enjoyed Alone....I certainly had a wonderful time out on Vancouver Island. I agree about the knife - when I first held it I thought it might not hold up to the more "stout" tasks, but it is proving me completely wrong. I love how lightweight it is...quickly becoming a favorite. It's also turned into my teenage son's favorite knife, so now I have to pry it from his hands when I want to use it :-). Thanks for the great review!

    Great video, and a beautiful representation of NY state. Most people only think of the city, but their is so much more to the state. I grew up in up state NY and have been in the Adirondacks many times its so beautiful up their. NY would be a great state to live in if it weren't for the liberal anti gun polotics and the high taxes.

    Beautiful knife. Quick question, though: would use of the big pommel on the end in any way loosen the blade after a while? Or is the tang fully integrated into that pommel?

    Any issues with rust on that A2 so far? Still trying to decide on a new belt knife but I have no experience with this steel, so I'm a little worried about hunting/fishing applications. Looks great for bushcraft and whittling though.

    My dad always used a Marbles knife for hunting and fiehing... it looked similar. I never did care much for it but my brother did and we gave it to him when dad passed.... Nice video but the knife seemed reaĺly dull. Did it not hold an edge? I would have liked to see you do more with the knife.

    • @MichaelTravis12c27

    • @schlooonginator1227
      @schlooonginator1227 Před 7 lety

      Blue Mountain Bushcraft and Outdoors I could only imagine. portage would actually be fun. Jeez, I knew you could build a light canoe with composites(I am a bike guy and the industry is very much about weight savings and carbon fiber) but 15 lbs is almost unbelievable. Early 20s would seem realistic but that must just be incredible. You must have been blown away when you first handled that thing. I could only imagine how easy to handle it would be.

    • @MichaelTravis12c27
      @MichaelTravis12c27 Před 7 lety +1

      Yes. This one is carbon and kevlar. The 100% carbon models come in at 8lbs.!
