In the 2nd Example, the questions is asking for the valid boundary values for 3point analysis.. so the answer should 18,19,29,30. But i dont see this value in the options provided.. The answer shown on the video is 17,18,19,29,30,31.. assuming this answer has all boundary values not the valid boundary values as asked on the question... Pls clarify on this...

What if there are more than one valid partitions? What will be the 3 point value for the next partition? Boundary value of first partition will be covered in next partition as LB-1.

1. There is no negative marking so, you don't lose any mark for going wrong for any question.
2. During the exam you will have access to all questions to revisit and update or check if you have answered them all.
3. You can only see your score at the time you submit your exam. Later, you will receive another email from the board with the scorecard as well.

I have a question. The examples I see on the web always get the boundary values on the valid partition point of view. Like on your example for age between 18 to 30 years: 17, 18, 19, 29, 30, 31. Does BVA also apply on the invalid partition point of view? So for the example of age, should we also get 0, 1? 0 being AT the boundary and 1 being BEFORE the boundary of the invalid partition?
Yes that's correct
I suppose that the Invalid value should be >= 31, not
So when do you choose 2 point or 3 point analysis if it is not mentioned explicitly in the question ... And both 2 point and 3 point answers are given in the choices.. :/
Which one do you pick?
Alright, you see this is dummy example created for explanation purpose only. But in the exam they will mention it which one you have to use. In case it is not mentioned then we just opt for 2PA.

And what do "text" and," 0" mean here?
Not correct question with appropriate details to answer. Moreover, FYI this technique is called LCSAJ which not in our syllabus. I recommend stop using the source which is not aligned with the syllabus. Happy learning!!

You do have a board in your country - Indonesia Software Testing Board(IDTQB) you can opt for it and if in case you are in US then prefer to go with ASTQB as the current work location of yours matters. Otherwise all boards are same.

Is there a place to access past questions on the certification?
ISTQB never releases there exam question papers officially/unofficially. SO there are no dumps for the same. You can always refer the official sample available on their website istqb.org

What is the normal order of activities in which software testing is organized?
A.) Unit, Integration, System, Validation
B.) System, Integration, Unit, Validation
C.) Unit, Integration, Validation, System

I marked the answer as D.) as I knew validation is something irrelevant and odd one in with the rest of the options. Arent Unit, Integration, System all part of validation? The correct answer is A. This is so confusing please help me out

First of all this is not a valid question as per the syllabus.
Next, based on the understanding and industry practices unit, integration, system etc are levels of testing and validation is a concept putting them all together. So you are absolutely correct with selecting your option, you just got a wrong question. All the best.
