Amrtia Pritam is regarded as one of the most influential writers of all time. she is celebrated as the voice of the Punjabi women who not only sacrifices life for others but cherishes love eternally.
She is the only woman of the Punjabi literature who was awarded 'the Bhartiya Jnanpith Award, in 1982 for her dedication and commitment. Apart from this, Pinjar is one of her most noticeable works of all time.
