This video is so helpful! I just bought a "new to me" classroom 4.0 and even tho the shop gave two 4-hr lessons, I found out the hard way (at a quilt camp) that I didn't retain much and fought and struggled with it for 3 days. This helped clarify things and is now saved as a favorite. Thanks So much for taking the time. Also, the video quality is great on how it zooms in on the relevant button or detail being featured.

Thank you Margaret, for the informative video. I have a QE 4.0 for about 4 years now and just wanted to see the differences between that and the new 4.2. What I learned from you was about the clearance plate "gaget". I hem jeans occasionally and this will be really, really helpful. Up till now I just used it to change the needle. Thanks so much!

Thanks for such a great video on the 4.2 covered so much thank you. bit perplexed on how to choose the right foot. one stitch has a foot and a + beside it. No mention on the pfaff website on what that means. any ideas?? is there like a foot cheat sheet somewhere that shows all the feet on one or two pages?

Amazing ... you used the same needle for all those thicknesses of fabric. Would have loved to have seen the ‘Overlock’ stitch demonstrated. My machine is a Pfaff Tipmatic 1119 & is good but this is in a completely different realm. I REALLY need to update it..!

How do you use the edge guide foot. I want to use it like a bi level foot to finish the binding can I use an edge guide foot or a stitch in ditch foot to do the same?..

Having a hard time seeing how to thread needle as the camera doesn’t follow closely enough to see. Right when there’s something I need to see, there’s hands in the way. Sorry but it’s frustrating. And what about the spool cap size? Not sure I have the right size on the spool I’m using.

Just seen your vid where youre using a specialist Singer sewing machine for the Overlock stitch. Im guessing this machine dosnt do that on stretchy Tshirt material or seems in jeans or am I wrong..? Thank you !
