  • My steering wheel controls have stopped working correctly in the last few months. I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is so let's dive in and see if it can be fixed easily and cheaply.

It was a mystery, but you solved it. You’ve done a great video I mean step-by-step it was so easy you really helped me and I just wanted to reach out and say thank you so much and continue on and I will hit the subscribe button and I’ll be looking forward to seeing some more of your great great videos have a blessed and wonderful day. I have a 2017 fusion se hybrid that has about 147000 on it. Just started to have a couple of issues pop up. Looks like wheel speed sensors and an electric parking brake issue. Other than that it's been relatively flawless. Bought it with just under 18k on it. I've been averaging just under 43mpg that whole time. I was originally only following your other channel but when you started to do things on the Fusion i decided I should pay attention to this channel as well.

You explained that well buddy. I changed mine in 16 ford edge it worked no engine light on or error codes. same set up. The only problem is the turn signal switch doesn’t turn off after I turn now. Did I brake something after I put the new one in??

Hello. This video is VERY helpful; thank you! Also, could this part also be the cause of the wipers and high beams turning on/ off when the wheel is turned to either side? Thanks in advance…

14:40 I think you are doing this the hard way, next time, remove the steering column out first. Pull the release lever down, pull steering column toward you, remove the T20 screws, move the steering wheel 90 degrees toward the left, use a flat head screwdriver to pop the tab that holds the top of the steering column from the bottom, move the steering wheel 90 degrees to the right, repeat the operation, the column cover will come off, then you can do what you did at the beginning, thank you, you showed me what not to do (messing too much with the clock spring), otherwise, your video is just fine. 👍👍

Hey, my 2017 fusion, horn doesn't work as well with steering controls. Do you think it can be caused by the clock spring???

I think I’m having the same problem in my 2013 Fusion SE. (I love mine too! And plan to keep it forever.) How’s things going now after several months since the repair?

Literally the same issue on my 2012 ford focus se, but both sides are completely dead now, it used to be intermittent like my window controls (another pain in the ass I’m too lazy to fix) the the steering wheel controls are ridiculous at this point I’m dying

I had the same issue. Replaced the clockspring and it still didn't work. I am at a total loss. I have no clue. Guess I have to take it to a dealership and see wtf is wrong with it. I've replaced the fuse, clockspring and nothing. Same exact issue you had. No buttons, wipers, blinkers, high beams, cruise control

Did you have to unplug the positive side of the battery too or only negative?
