Not into those kinda saws. Honestly not knowing the cylinder material. I would just cut the base so you can run a gasket to prevent any vibration damage. Run a pop up. Unlimited coil. Should hold up nice that way with the added compression and good tunability.

Scary on the circlips. You have to wonder how many saws go out like that.
Got mine about 10 months ago. Runs strong, timing numbers explain that. But am concerned about those C clips. Will have to check it out.
