- This curriculum from The Good and the Beautiful has proven to be so much more than I expected! Here is what we like about it and the one thing that I wish was different!
Enjoy and thanks for watching!

Super helpful for how long the lessons might take a day. Thanks!
I always add spelling to TGATB language arts and you can add a simple grammar like Fix-It Grammar which only takes about 10 minutes a day. You can also extend the book study by having the student doing the reading section on a separate day (or reading it aloud to you). Just some suggestions.
Good ideas!
We have fallen in love with IEW this year. My 6th grade son is doing it along with TGTB LA6. Itâs a lot to do both curriculums at once, but itâs been SO beneficial to my sonâs writing skills.
IEW is only a 24 week program, so my plan is to throw in another writing course when my son is completing the level 8 book studies from TGTB. But I havenât tried it yet, so I canât say how it will work out đ Thanks for the review!
Thanks!! I need to check them out!
What did you end up adding on the curriculum? I have the book studies from my 8th grader for the fall but don't know what to supplement with
We actually just took our time and spread it out more. The second half of the school year we changed things around and split up the subjects in order to focus more on each one. (I think I did a video on that.) However, we didn't use the vocabulary curriculum (Wordly Wise) , so I probably would have used that as my file up to TGATB
