Turning off cross play doesnt make much of a difference. I use visual cue jump. I feel like 2k purposely sells you after you've been on a win streak.
Definitely will..can time your jump shot the same as you did the previous game when you were hitting shots..then the next game you just start missing cause 2k wants you to
And this is why the game is finished. No one wants to buy a monitor, change controller settings, change clothes, shoes, get tattoos, new hair style, run around the park twice, etc...just to make a wide open shot consistently.

Honestly this is my last year with sports games besides NCAA and I can say everyone has been waiting for years when it comes to that game. Other than that sports games aren’t the same anymore it’s like they focus on realism more than gameplay and it’s makes the game unplayable. Lately I’ve playing Texas chainsaw, gta and helldrivers. I can say I’ve felt more at ease than having to worry about my shot on 2k being changed every other day. Or having to spend almost $200 on a copy and paste game every year

@elijahroulhac Helldivers is easy fun, but as far the game that saved it for me was cyberpunk 2077. That game will show you how bad 2k is.. is literally the best game I ever played easily.. money well invested played through it twice and feels different every time. Gonna run it back for sure..

Dope. I heard these before, but it’s great to keep putting it out there. I’m never doing the wired controller thing for one game though - I’m pretty happy with my shooting.
The facts that Helldivers just came out and immediately adressed their severs issues due to overpopulation because the game was so popular is how it should be done, They address to the players and let the know they were fixing it and it got better. 2k is a BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY and not only have they NEVER addressed lag issues or done anything to fix it. Its like every game im playing the game is freezing and skipping like crazy as of late. Literally will turn it off and play something else and see the difference..Cod is made by shady crap company but lag has never been a game breaking issue like 2k24. It Literally make you not wanna play it. Imagine doing all the things you suggested on top of spending money on the game, you go and buy a monitor just to shoot???! This is absurd.

Ngl I was trash at shooting but I found a shot that I was cool with and the key for me was turning the shot meter off. I went from shooting low 30% to shooting almost 50%. Once you get the muscle memory down it’s just like the old 2ks before the meters.

Great upload. I'd to like to also add on to what you said. 1) Create your red zones in MyCareer. Try to establish a 70% or higher, 10+ shots in each zone. They will not go away and recycle every 25 games like your online zones do. You will be able to establish your online red zones quicker and they'll stay longer, even if you hit a shooting slump. 2) Find a jumpshot that looks visually natural to you and 3) adjust your camera angles to see your jumpshot release cue. 4) Stay with your jumpshot and don't constantly switch it up because your favorite content creator uploaded the latest and greatest jumpshot. If yours works, then there's no need to switch. Add in everything else that AllCity stated, and you'll be good to go.
How do u set up hot zones
@@damonmcnair5399 I set up my Permanent hot zones in MyCareer. I play about 10 games or so on semi-pro. you have to take 10 shots per zone you want to be hot and have it be 50% or higher. The higher the better. i then establish my online hot zones playing streetball and online games.

Yeah i do all that stuff. Been doing it for the past couple years. Wired Ethernet cable and controller, monitor all that. I shoot 60+ percent every season.
Even using the same cue and jumper all year, hot and lethal zones all around and having great shot selection some games it just feels off. Gotta just keep shooting and you'll adjust. The next game will feel normal again.
I started a game 0-4 the other day and was losing my mind...i finished the game 4-8 from 3 lol.
It also helps to get some dunks or layups, even open middies first to get your takeover meter going and your green machine activated.
Release has been working for me. On wifi. Shooting 63% from 3 with a 80 3ball
Same here, I was shooting 18-25 percent because I had terrible wifi. Lagging my ass off. Got a lan cable and now I shoot 62% from 3 with an 80 3pt.

OG ALMIGHTY got a 6'5 an up base that I feel may be giving tmac a run for it money but you an him have been super helpful this year .

I already buy a samsung qn90c50" tv with 120 refresh rate...will this help my shooting...hope so...ive invested too much in this game im still starter 1 coz of my work schedule...anyway just enjoying the game
it helps to get a couple lays after a few bricks. I just need to see the ball go in to restore confidence
Cross play definitely makes a huge difference for me every fade I take with cross play on I miss , I turn it off I green everything my percentage has increased since I’ve actually turned it off, also the theatre games run really smooth for me vs the park . I don’t really run pro am or rec so I can’t speak on that
Been changing my jump shot speed. I’d have it maxed out speed and be going 4/4 or 5/5 in the theater then after 5-6 win games, my shit just be off. So I turn it down by one speed then all of sudden I’m back not missing. Shits weird. Then some days my shit just be completely off.
Btw I use release for visual cue. Feel like it’s the best outta all 3. Every other setting doesn’t make sense to me.
yo does anyone feel that when you play my career or park the vc you get is a lower amount? or feel like 2k not giving you the amount of vc you should get?
Also if you have a lower shooting attribute it makes your shot less consistent as well. Not only is the green window smaller but it alters the animation you shoot with more often which also makes it harder to time.

I still use JT Thor base on all my builds and it's still cash! Been using it since season 2. I'm shooting over 60% on ALL my builds. Yea from game to game is different. You can feel when it's different and your bricking
I shoot 63% this season. I really have bad games but when I do, I try to do what I called (Locke) in. Meaning focus a little more on my visual queue and not getting too comfortable. 2K Does have some issues, but I can’t say shoot pretty consistent.
Idk how or why im still playing this game online. I cant hit the broadside of a barn!

I use Set Point on my visual cue…money with my PF and usually money on my Center too except this past weekend…I switched to jump on my center to compensate for the shot speed since I use the same jumper on both my PF and Center but it’s a bit slower on my center, and I went from 1/3 from 3 to 0/6…yeah, I’m going back to Set Point tonight 😂😂😂😂😂 I feel like I just gotta play on my big more often…been playing on my 6’8 too much.
I’m a PG and was shooting 68 percent from 3 this season in the rec and made the switch and started playing pro am and I still get open but my shots ain’t falling like they usually do and now back in the rec it feels a lot different too lol so idk if I’m just in shambles or the game is being inconsistent again 🤣

What cue do you usually look for with Push vs Release? Push is the elbow flick and Release is the wrist flick?
It depends entirely on the jump shot you choose. And you'll have to learn at least five releases. It's not like previous 2Ks where there was one single cue. Now there's a whole bunch for each jump shot depending on how quickly you pull the ball up. You see the best cue is how quickly you pull the ball up above your head or up to your head.
On my 7’1 center i hit a fade away 3 to win the game… never done that lol i sent the video to my homeboy and when he got on i missed every shot and my shot hasn’t been the same since… this was 2 weeks ago

I only have problems with consistent shooting on PS5..On Xbox I shoot consistent most days, but my fadeaway and stepbacks will go awry for no reason multiple days..Im just like, MLB out, Hell Divers 2, im done here 🤷🏽

I think it’s the trash servers man. I hear other people struggling a few days ago. I had one day where I couldn’t shoot like normal as well. Latency is just all over the place with this game with or without crossplay. It’s ridiculous
I recently switched to McGrady base on my 6’8”. It’s a game changer. Anyone who hasn’t tried it yet I suggest giving it a shot.

How important do you think the jumpshot stats are? Cuz I have tried shots with all A’s but i miss more than my main shot with a D+ immunity and B+ stability.
Seemingly useless. I've tried making my own shots with good grades vs not and it's all over the place.

Terrence man lower, kobe Bryant upper on quick is the best jumper by far that no one really knows about. Barely get contested. Never missed since putting it on, and i dont play park as much anymore but now i am cause the jumper is too good.
I don’t think cross play gems cause any fluctuations in latency. I think it’s more of the server you get connected to than anything. There will be times if you get connected to a server outside of your region that will be the problem. For example, if you live in the east coast you get connected to a west coast server and that cause a majority of the issues. But unfortunately, that’s out of our control.

I use Jump timing cue, I WAS A VERY EARLY type guy last year and thats the quickest cue to me. I GREEN ALOT BUT 2K fks me every other game 😂

I shot 35 percent season 1. Season 2 to even now I'm shooting 70 percent from 3.
Only stats that matter on a shot are the speed and height ignore the rest. Try to have a/a+ on speed and height u will make wayyyy more shots

My biggest grip is AFTER the ball leaves your hand the meter drops if a defender is by you. Why is my meter full when i release and then the ball gets scared of the d in the air??

2k is doing all the crazy bs because they will lose this lawsuit, Call of Duty had a similar lawsuit years ago and they lost. Remember in call of duty they used to have the loot box? You’d buy a loot box and they’d give you a random weapon but it was damn near impossible to get the good ones. 2k knows they have to cover there bases because they will lose this lawsuit.

Shooting is so easy in this game. I really haven’t ever understood what folks are saying for THIS game specifically. 80 3pt and 65 middy but still shooting 63% from 3 and almost 70% from the field. Can’t lie and say I’ve never had one game 11/11 then the next 3/9, but those are far and few in between.

Honestly, the best advice for shooting in 2K has nothing to do with the hardware or settings (it does make a noticeable difference tho) is SHOT IQ. Get your in game timing down with some wide open/open catch and shoots before you start attempting to create. This will get you badges cooking plus you get your timing and confidence up.
