The view from Tokaido Shinkansen mainly consists of suburban areas with urban outskirts being predominant,
Conversely,on the Tohoku Sinkansen ,rural landscapes take center stage.

A few tips for Kyoto: it's a major touristic city even for Japanese people... so try to go early at major touristic points! Also, you should explore Gion/Sannenzaka at night - it's such a mysterious vibe with all the lights around!! And no crowd at all at night!
For a great sunset spot - Mar Café! It's a rooftop with a view on the river and the mountains!
