Jiujitsu is probably the single most valuable tool I’ve ever implemented to improve as a human. That being said, I think you’re underestimating it. I train striking too, so I’m not just a one trick pony, but admittedly, my ground skills are way more advanced than my striking skills. Anyway, keep up the good work, I always enjoy the content!
I been reading rener gracies new book 32 principles im getting an itch to try jiu-jitsu but us it possible to really learn at 36 and with a busy schedule?
@@raymondlealjr.2348 Yes. Any training is better than none. I’m a 39 year old black belt, but I started training at 21. It’s long road, but well worth it in my opinion. Even at 36, it’s never too late.

I train Kali/Filipino martial arts and supplement it with Pinoy boxing and Muay Thai. Martial arts has given me so much more confidence not just to be able to win a fight or defend myself against knife attackers, but overall confidence in life too and give me the skills to be a protector for my future wife. Keeps me focused and in shape too

I'd argue that being a driver is a skill. Not talking about doordash or uber. Such as having a CDL - no matter what class it is. Those semis are not easy to drive - especially when its a 21 gear manual. Our whole world is dependent on delivery drivers and we're facing a big shortage of qualified candidates. You have to be a great driver to have a CDL. So I'd say having that is a skill. Even being a heavy equipment operator or knowing how to transport that equipment.
Nobody wants to be a driver when they get older. Good money for a low skill entry though

The sales one is absolutely correct but it's so hard. I've always hated being sold stuff and hated to have to do the selling. I try to remind myself that I'm an outlier in this attitude, and so if there's some claim I feel I can't pull off, I need to go for it anyway because sure the outliers like me will think I'm full of shit, but 90% of people will not give it a second thought. The types of qualifiers, disclaimers, and self-deprecating humor that makes me feel a person is more trustworthy, do not have the same effect on most people. They won't think I'm honest or modest, they'll think I'm a loser, or best case scenario maybe an eccentric dork.

The Course Careers thing and building marketable skills are great! BUT, I'd recommend against tech unless it's in the cloud or AI fields. AI will be doing most code monkey work within the next 5-10 years (Unless I'm wrong). Instead build people skills, sales, mediation, counseling, hell coaching like what HtB does here on YT. Those will serve better in the coming years than just knowing Python or C++. Java tho.... Java is pretty intense. All just one man's opinion ofc. These are all great skills to build.

Krav Maga, boxing, Muay Thai, etc is awesome when it comes to enhancing fighting capabilities but as we all know those things cost money.
If a person is in a rough patch and cannot afford to train in those things can doing bodyweight exercises (namely push-ups, burpees, pull ups, etc) help to some extent in that regard?
You could also just buy some gloves, and either a punching bag, or do training with a friend who has pads if you cant afford a membership

All good points... There is one thing you didn't mention in regards to the troops being pulled from Afghan.... They left BILLIONS of dollars (Tax paying) of equipment in the desert. Those same soldiers worked with that stuff everyday and they had to just leave it all behind for the other side to retrieve and utilize... The content quality though bro real shit.

I learn a martial art at early age I feel like I have lot skill but they are not mastered level I say Level 2 I feel stuck in some area
Personal opinion: When it comes to any martial art, each martial art has its own value: it’s important to know how to throw a punch/kick (Muay Thai/Kickboxing) but most fights end up on the ground (BJJ). BJJ is, what I would consider to be better for any real fight, but learning any training is better than not learning.
I don't know these trainers at the gym all boast this to sell you $$$ classes and gear. But doubt you want to go to the ground in a street fight. Like at school against a bully on the grass for the odd pissing contest ok. BJJ is going to be killer for this. But in a street fight against a junkie with anything in their pocket ready to stab you ... doubt it.
