  • This video follows I-90 west and part of US-395 south in Eastern Washington from Mile Marker 257 to Mile 182. In this video, we focus on the high desert of Eastern Washington and showcase how dry the eastern half of the state really is.

    Great video Kyle. On the eastbound side of 90 near Moses Lake was a set up that showed the different agricultural produce that's grown in the area. That was like a marker that we were getting closer to Spokane (eastbound) or the Columbia River Gorge (westbound). Looks like it was a beautiful morning.

    Great work once again! That area really reminds me of I-15 in eastern Idaho for some reason

    I loved the fact that you can see mountains off in the distance at the end< bet they were still over a 100 miles away but the height of them can be clearly seen miles away.

      +Christopher Rilea Those aren't the Cascades, those were the Saddle Mountains. They are only 2,700 feet high. They were only about 30 miles away, it's impossible to see the Cascades from I-90 unless you cross the Ryegrass Summit in the mountains after the Columbia River.

    Wow you were very near my neck of the woods! I live less than 10 miles north of I-90 in Spokane.

      +InterstateKyle Excellent, wish I had known. I just moved here but love the area. It's a nice town and with beautiful countryside up north. One day very soon I hope to film the part of US-395 northbound from I-90. That will be my first ever road vid ;)

    This freeway honestly looks far superior and much better suited to higher speeds than the 85mph one in Texas!!

    • @InterstateKyle
      @InterstateKyle  Před 8 lety +1

      +SleekDan97 I don't see Washington ever going above 75 MPH due to the high amount of traffic across it's statewide freeways. You need as little traffic as possible to warrant such speed limits.

    Cool video Kyle, that was anything but a slow ride. These landscapes make civilization seem that much more exciting on road trips lol. Beautiful.

      +InterstateJD Thanks JD, does it remind you a bit of Texas hill country? :)

      @InterstateJD Před 8 lety

      Reminds me of the Panhandle Plains but much prettier, if anything, if I would continue my constant comparisons to texas, lol

      The Channeled Scablands are what make it interesting. There isn't a landscape like it anywhere, and trying to wrap your head around the amount and force of water and ice it took to wash away thousands of square miles of basalt up to 1,000 ft thick is difficult if not impossible. Much of it was from glacial Lake Missoula but there's also budding evidence that glacial outwash from earlier ice ages helped carve out many of the coulees up north around the Okanogan country.

    Great Video, although it wasn't really a "slow ride" if you know what I mean :) Lol

      It is by the end of the song. "Slow ride, take it easy" gradually ends with "Fast ride, take it frenetically."
