    Hi, thanks for all your great videos. One topic that I'm missing is a Mikrotik LAN using RB's. I have an RB941 and RB931 and I want to use both as hotspots and for wired connections. I want to connect the two RB's via ethernet (same physical building). I'm just not getting any joy using e.g. RB941 port 2 and RB931 port 1. The RB941 is connected to my ISP.

    Hello, I am new to the mikrotik world but with your video's I have been able to setup my wireless network and put a bandwidth limit in place...thank you so much for the awesome video's. I have a RB951Ui-2HnD, if I get a second one can I use it to make a "mesh" network in my house? is PTP the same thing? any guidance would be greatly appreciated

    Hello, thank you for your videos, they have helped me a lot. I am a beginner with Mikrotik networking and would appreciate assistance with setting up repeaters for a property I have that I use for Student Accommodation. The property is quite large and therefore the one RB cannot accommodate the other areas for students to access the Wifi. Just wanted to find out how I can extend the range of the signal, which hardware do I need to purchase and how to setup it up also to enable the Hotspot functionality so that each student can access the internet using a pre-allocated username and passoword.

    Thank you for this, I just wanted to ask, I will be using SXT 5 lite for PTP between two locations 1.2km far, will this work ? And using this method, will I be able to share the internet connection from location A to location B ? I have a mikrotik router in location B, do I need to put the gateway IP the same as the router in location A so it routes the traffic to internet from there?

    I want to create mesh wifi, but I don't think I should use repeater. I think about bridging the access point but then I arrive with ton of questions, Can I manage users from bridge access point with mikrotik? Will the users get seamless connection so they don't have to connect again on nearest access point? I really want to create much more wider wifi area, but because I haven't tried it yet, I didn't know the answer.

    Need to ask you one question,
    Can we create PTMP using nv2 mode? So we create AP as you did, and than 2 x station devices connected to AP. Will that work faster than usual 802.11 mode?
    Thank you :)

    great video !
    can you make another video for advanced configuration and what other stuff to do to enhance the ccq/signal and other things

    • @TKSJa
      @TKSJa  Před 6 lety

      CCQ has to do with the quality of the signal. The are so many things that affect your CCQ like:
      signal strength
      interference
      # of clients
      type of antenna
      Fixing these will definitely improve your CCQ

    • @hassnhany702
      @hassnhany702 Před 6 lety +1

      yes i understand all of that but what i meant about advanced config is the protocols which one to use and when i'm currently using nv2 nstreme to all the links i've worked on
      it's seems fine most of the time and sometimes not, like ccq drops and changing the frequency won't cut it and even the MCS all of those configurations there no praticular explaining of them on nearly all the internet all what people do is depending on expermenting with them but no one actually knows what they are for or what they really do

    • @rodrickingram8731
      @rodrickingram8731 Před 6 lety

      Hassun Hany Based on my experience signal strength & interference significantly affects CCQ especially on 2.4GHz.

    Please Make Tutorial On Mikrotik Hotspot With Radius Server ...

    • @frostsmaker8966
      @frostsmaker8966 Před 7 lety +1

      Let me answer your question sir.
      First, after you made hotspot on mikrotik (IP > Hotspot) then click (Server Profile > and check on RADIUS) It's done.
      Now, go to Radius (from main menu), create new Radius Server and then click on "Incoming" and check on Enable. Okay radius is done.
      Now, You can open your user manager (192.168.88.1./userman) by default.
      Remember if you connect through hotspot, you should disable you hotspot first (IP > Hotspot, choose server bar, and right click on your hotspot and disable it.) after that you can connect to your user manager just fine.
      User manager is default user management from mikrotik, it connect to radius server. With user manager you can manage more than 1 hotspot. You also can use 3rd party software than userman.
      I hope this will help a bit.

    • @frostsmaker8966
      @frostsmaker8966 Před 7 lety

      I almost forgot, when you make new radius server you should insert "secret code" this will be used to connect from user manager to radius server.
      If it really difficult maybe you should look for tutorial videos, I don't have them because I don't make youtube channel. :D

    I noticed something really strange with this video, for some reason I cannot understand your voice when I speed this video up to faster than 1.25 speed, I can understand people speaking English who are not native speakers, say someone from China speaking English, I could listen to that at 1.75 or 2x speed and yet for some reason I can't with you. 1x speed it is fine. It's so weird. Something with your accent and my ears I guess but when I play you at any speed faster than 1x it just turns in to that 'fast forward' sound, I just can't follow it, I just thought this was strange enough to make the comment. Maybe it wasn't... but eh, who knows, someone might get a kick out of it or have some explanation as to why.
    But rambling aside, great video, super helpful, thanks.
