Prime example why most of these old computer games have aged terribly, compared to console games.
Terrible controls, bad animations and mediocre gameplay.
Even back then, I quickly realized, it was more about having great looking screenshots on the box.
Too much shovelware, rushed to the market, to make a quick buck.
Wish we had gotten more games like Turrican, one of a handful games, I still play on my Amiga.

Consoles had that extra layer of quality control in that the console manufacturer could deny releasing a game if it wasn't of a high enough quality (I believe Nintendo started it). Which is something open systems couldn't control. But without those open systems many programmers would never have made games for those consoles.

I also have TURRICAN I and II for my Amiga.
Plus, i even use Sega Master System's controller, KONIX SPEEDKING on my Amiga 500.
I wonder, if i should also use it on my Commodore 64 😺👍🕹️.
And i make my own gameplay videos of the Commodore 64 and Amiga games 😺👍🕹️.

These games are perfect. Games suck now. Our own faults. We only got PS1 to check out the 3-D. I'm 40. I remember. When Sega CD, Saturn, 64, PS1, while that stuff was in video stores the biggest shelf was still for SNES and games were flying off the shelf. Only people who I knew with PS1's only had one game. Just wanted to see that 3-D. People were tricked out of their SNES and Amiga games. Even PS2 would've failed if it was for the DVD player. They were new and expensive. PS2 gave you a cheap DVD player and you can check out new games if you want. All just my opinion, of course. Really, the winners during that part of the console wars was FF7, DVD players, and Halo. We were tricked. Also, in my opinion, only reason Amiga failed was because of the pirates. Developers just gave up. No money to made. In the 90's all Amiga games were either awesome and begged you not to steal from them, or absolute trash and they didn't care if you stole. The Amiga CD was just Commodore saying, whatever, we're screwed anyway. Like, no effort went into 99% of the games on Amiga CD. Must've been a depressing computer to collect games for last few years it was around.
