This is my first time watching commentary reaction to all the Rocky movies. Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), a small-time boxer from working-class Philadelphia, is arbitrarily chosen to take on the reigning world heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), when the undefeated fighter's scheduled opponent is injured. While training with feisty former bantamweight contender Mickey Goldmill (Burgess Meredith), Rocky tentatively begins a relationship with Adrian (Talia Shire), the wallflower sister of his meat-packer pal Paulie (Burt Young).

Hii
Rocky is in the Creed movies, watch the Creed movies next.
the rocky balboa saga aint over, go watch creed now!
Happy Easter 🐣🐇🐰😊
Why did you choose to show this as one video instead of 6 parts? Not that I’m complaining, but I’m just curious.
Carl Weathers was an ICON, he was born to play Apollo Creed. He will live forever in our hearts.
It’s all in the hips
THERE IS NO TOMORROW!
Losing him and Burt in such a short span was rough. Met Burt by chance at a Las Vegas buffet about 20 years ago. He invited me to sit with him. One of the sweetest guys I've ever met. For those who don't know, he was an incredible boxer. Was a marine from 16-19 years old, and only lost 2 of 34 fights in that span.
Apollo and Rocky's friendship was one of the best developments of the franchise.
The 2nd Creed is great closure & offers redemption for certain characters
Mr. T took his mother to the premiere of Rocky III, but she was so upset that she walked out after the scene where Clubber Lang talks lewdly toward Adrian because "I didn't raise you to talk to a woman like that."
I didn't know that, that was pretty funny to be honest 😂Thank you for sharing.
I shared the same comment on another reviewer who watched Rocky 3-Clubber Lang, Mr. T. Yes, you're correct-he (Mr. T) actually had to run out of the theater because his mother left. He had to explain it was just a character he was portraying.
That's a good mom!
She should know it's this thing called acting and his this thing called a actor. I bet she accepted any money or gifts he was able to give from that role.
@@EnriqueGonzalez18362 Sad, though. He obviously loved his mum, and this was just him playing a character, but that it shocked her so much that she scolded him as if he really did disrespect Adrian, that makes me feel bad for Mr.T.
Adrian getting in Paulie's face and yelling "I'm NOT a loser!" is one of my favorite movie moments.
"I was wondering if you wouldn't mind marrying me too much" is the best proposal ever.
Duke: "He's not a machine! He's a man!"
Drago: "He's not human. He's like a piece of iron!"
"get up you son of a b***ch, coz micky loves ya"
It's funny, but with so many great scenes to choose from, that "I am not a loser!"moment is my favorite too. It defines the whole series in my eyes.
@@MrKeychange It's such a great development for her character.👍
@@dr.burtgummerfan439 It was also the first time we saw Paulie drop his false bravado. After Adrian runs off and Rocky has him pinned to the couch, he cried and said "I can't haul meat anymore". He was upset that everybody in his life was gifted a 2nd chance at redemption, but him.
Everybody made the most of their second chances, but when Paulie wanted one too, he was told he wasn't good enough.
Lost in Paulie's demeanor, is the fact he never asked Rocky for a loan, he supported his sister financially, offered Rocky a loan and bought his car when he needed money. He was arguably the hardest worker in the series and never left that meat house.
I love that you've done this! In defence of "Rocky Balboa", Mason's not really the opponent. The real opponent is "the stuff in the basement", the pain he feels for having lost Adrian. The whole point of the match was proving to himself that he could still go for it, that he wasn't just going to give up on life. Dixon just gave him the excuse to do that.
Wow! When she was cracking the eggs, I thought, "There's no way that she's going to do it." I thought she would scramble them and throw them in a pan or something, but she did it! She's the people's champ.
Yeah, loved the montage.
I cheered, she _swallowed_ 🙃
In the title: "and it changed me." These movies affect and speak to a lot of people from all walks of life in ways that they can apply to their real lives. That's why these movies and this character mean so much to so many people.
Rocky telling Dixon "You're a great champion" at the end of the fight is sooo...ROCKY. He has a such a good heart.
Stallone should have won an Oscar for that speech to his son.
I Still put it on when I'm struggling. It's so inspirational. "Go see your mother". 😢😢
lol....an oscar?
Sorry, Stallone is not an elite oscar caliber actor.
^^^^^^ respectfully disagree. He won a Golden Globe for Creed, and his speeches are the stuff of legend in Rambo and Rocky Balboa.
@@clevelandcbilmao no and these movies are so fucking overrated.
@@clevelandcbi
Madonna won a golden globe, too.
His speeches are the worst kind of cliched gibberish.
Fun fact both mr.t and hulk hogan became Life long friends during the filming of Rocky three , It led to Mr. T and hogan Becoming A tag team at the first Wrestlemania and hogan did 2 episodes of the 80's TV classic The A.team where mr.t was the star of the show
A-TEAM episodes
THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY
&
BODY SLAM
My aunt ran the cleaning crew for the high roller rooms at a Vegas hotel in the 80's and 90's. She said Hogan was far away the best tipper and most polite guest they ever had. Also said Michael Jordan was the biggest crybaby of all-time lol. Her crew would draw straws to NOT get his room.
Rest is power, Carl Weathers. Thank you for the many memories throughout the years. We will continue to enjoy the legacy you left for the world. This is the way.
Well Said👍
Burt Young also passed a few months before him. Amazing actor and total class act. Casually told me he'd "done some boxing in the Marines as a kid." I later looked it up. Joined the Marines at 16. Went 32-2 as a teenager vs grown men. Was 14-0 as a pro. You'd never think that Burt could've really hurt Stallone in part 3, and was trying so hard to not actually "crack Stallone's noggin." 😂
R.I.P. to Carl Weather's and Burt Young, who was a VERY good boxer himself. 32-2 as a marine and 14-0 as a pro. The amazing thing is he was literally a kid in the marines. He was knocking out grown men as a 16 year old. Got the pleasure of meeting him years back . Told me he was terrified of "Cracking Stallone's noggin" in the parking garage scene in part 3.
Part 2 to me is one of the most inspirational movies of all time and the best of the Rockys.
I have always loved the look on Apollo's face when Rocky gets back up in the first movie. The utter disbelief when he realizes this guy just won't quit!
14:44 Fun Fact: Butkus is played by Butkus Stallone. This is Sylvester Stallone's dog, that he actually had to sell during the filming. The guy who plays Mike at Mickey's Gym is the guy that bought him...and as a thank you for taking care of him, Stallone gave him the role in the movie.
Do I remember right that the guy made Stallone pay him a ridiculous amount to get him back???
Yes, that's why Stallone agreed to cast him as Mike. LOL@@clevelandcbi
Love this franchise! Never forget how the world first met Sylvester Stallone
You mean that porn movie he did? 😂
Wasn't that sex movies? I remember that as a 70's kid... Glad he went to real acting because he is realy amazing!
he was in a porno before rocky
Now it´s time for Creed saga. A great continuation for this iconic Rocky franchise!! You made my day!!
PLEASE NO
@@andrewblanchard2398The Creed movies are fantastic. A continuation story and passing of the torch couldn't have been done any better.
@@williamdean4775 1 and 2 were fantastic, 3 was meh but ok
@@GarethAUS All around a solid trilogy.. and part of the Rocky universe
@@GarethAUS Agreed, 3 just didn't have the emotional hits the first 2 did, but still had some of my favorite shots from the franchise.
That was Sylvester Stallone’s actual dog that he had to give away because he was so broke and when he got to make Rocky, he got him back
He was offered $300,000 for the script if he refused to star in it
He turned it down, and the rest is history
He had Henry Winkler sell the script than had him give the money back because they wanted to rewrite it and credit a different writer so he did, Rocky became Rocky and Winkler never seen a dime
It's much sadder when you realize half cast rocky franchise is no longer here with us
Carl Weathers, Sage Stallone (Robert), Pedro Lovell (Spider), Burgess Meredith (Mickey), Tony Burton (Duke), Burt Young (Paulie), James Brown, and Tommy Morrison (Tommy Gunn)
My favorite Paulie moments from Rocky franchise are from Rocky 4 before Rocky goes to fight Drago he tells Rocky how much he loves his brother in law and how much he truly means to him if you look at Adriana reaction you can see it goes from shock, surprised, nd emotional seeing her brother finally show genuine emotion for someone he loves and cares. You can tell she wasn't expecting Paulie to say something like that and it's underrated moment that doesn't get talked about alot. My other favorite Paulie moment is a deleted scene from Rocky Baloba after he is left go from his job he breaks down in front of Rocky telling him how much he misses his sister and him saying that he should have died instead of her you can see Rocky reaction trying to stay strong but at same time you can also see he's in alot pain but feels even more sad his best friend saying he should have died instead of Adriana it's crime this was deleted from the movie should have been kept in.
We do be gettin old.....gen x myself....qualify for an AARPcard.....nope ...aint gunna😊
Fun fact my cousin was one of those kids running with Rocky towards the art museum steps in Rocky 2.
Basically Stallone and the crew casted hundreds of school kids in the city and he was lucky enough to also get a photo with Stallone after filming even got it autographed. It still hangs in his living room today.
Love getting to re-live these movies with you. Fun fact, the turtles, Cuff and Link, are still alive and Stallone still owns them...They are a lot larger now!
Rocky and Rambo are totally worth a stallone-athon. some really awesome classics that hold up.
One of my favorite movie franchises of all time. The stories are all soooo good. The character development, the plot, the whole concept of never giving up no matter how many times life knocks you down. Never give up! Masterpiece!
"Gonna need a MONTAGE! Even Rocky had a MONTAGE!" Trey Parker, South Park
🤣I have seen this dozens of times and never seen the child get trampled by the other running children during the final running montage.
SAME!
Wow! All 6 Rocky movies at once! That is dedication!
Rocky Balboa is one of the best characters in cinema history and just a phenomenal role model for anyone. Such a genuinely good person.
RIP, Carl Weathers!
Rockys son in the 5th movie is actualy Sylvester Stallones real son Sage, who sadly passed away (if im correct) from a a heart attack in 2012. According to what i heard it was caused by an over the counter medication, no illegal drugs were found in his system.
Rocky is a "Love story" according to Sylvester Stallone.❤
Rest in paradise Carl Weathers
This is so great because I feel like for months Casey has been talking about Rocky in other reactions 😂 I've really been looking forward to it
Your reaction to Rocky IV is priceless!!
WOW ALL 6 ROCKY MOVIES AT ONCE!
Now you really really have to watch the CREED trilogy ! the epic story of Rocky still goes on....
I needed this today. Thank you, Kacee. Rest well, Carl Weathers 💪❤️
Rip Carl weathers 🕊️
Rest Easy Greef Karga 🤙☝️
Love your reactions , keep it up !! 😊
Hey, yo!
You 'ROCK'!
Thanks for the reaction!
1 of my lifelong favorite peices of art!
Rocky isn't an underdog story. It's a love story. ✌️
Rocky 2 makes me cry every time
Mr.t Became a star after his portrayal of clubber lane in rocky three So Big that he had his own Saturday morning. Cartoon show and his own cereal and the Catchphrase Of the cereal was " I Pity the fool that don't eat my cereal
Him and Hulk are such goofballs, if you haven't watched, go see their interview on SNL with billy crystal who is making fun of them and it's just a laugh fest.
I’m so glad you reacted to these movies. You guys are one of the best reaction channels I’ve seen.
During the shooting of Rocky IV, Stallone told Dolph Lundgren, that actor who played Drago, "Just go out there and try to clock me". Shooting had to stop for 4 days while Stallone was in intensive care because of how hard Lundgren hit him.
The first two Rocky movies always make me cry happy tears because they're such sweet love stories. The next two make me cry out of devastation from losing Mick & Apollo.
I love that Stalone hates the 5th movie so much he didn't even include it in the 4k collection. Rocky Balboa is such a perfect ending to this franchise. Can't wait to see you guys react to Creed movies now.
But he wrote it?
I watched Rocky 4 in my history class in high school when we were studying the Cold War. He paused every scene & explained the Cold War timeline
Great Reaction.... RIP Carl Weathers (Apollo) and Burt Young (Paulie).....
The "Rocky" Movies are movies about Relationships and Personal Growth, with a little Boxing thrown in......
Actually Butkis was his dog, he had sold the dog before the movie and bought it back when he got the movie deal.......
The scene where Rocky points out the shorts are the wrong color, was added cause the printer messed up the poster/prop and they didn't have enough money left in the budget to correct it, Same thing with Rocky's robe being the wrong size..... So they wrote in dialogue to address it.....
Adrian is Rocky's Heart and Motovation..... He is powerless without her approval.....
Apollo is a First Class Opponent, If you notice at the end of the fight in Rocky 2, Apollo raises Rocky's Hand/Arm, and Congradulates Rocky....
Rocky III, Mr T took his mom to the premier and she gave him a hard time saying "I raised you better than that"....
We all had our hearts ripped out when Apollo Died, Almost as much as When Mickey Passed.....
I have heard it said that Carl was mimicking the "Death twitch" so well that the on scene doctor (Who was playing the Fight Doctor) was concerned until he examined Him.......
In "Normal" competition there is drug testing..... With these being an "Exhibition" fights, the regular rules/Procedures were not followed....
During the Fight Drago says Rocky is a Machine.....
The actor playing Tommy Gunn was a Real Fighter at the time this was filmed.....
The speech Rocky gives to his son is one of the greatest speeches ever.
The speech between Rocky and his son outside the restaurant stands out as one of the epic speeches of modern cinema.
I read in a interview where Talia Shire agreed with the idea of Adrian passed away before this movie happens.... She said that (summarized) "It would make no sense for Rocky to fight if Adrian was alive" and when asked if she felt bad about being left out of the movie, she replied "The whole movie is about Adrian"
The cameo by Mike Tyson was actually supposed to be Mr. T's Clubber Lang as a commentator on the fight. Unfortunately Mr. T was doing some reality show at the same time.
She came in thinking she's going to have to bear through a boxing movie and buy Rocky 2 she's all smiles now (onto Rocky 3)
Absolutely amazing, this idea of making a compilation of reactions. I love it!
Sylvestor Stallone always said Rocky was not a sports movie but a love story.
Pouring out beer for Carl Weathers, Burt Young, Burgess Meredith, Tony Burton, Tommy Morrison and Sage Stallone. RIP to all...
Yesss finally! Been waiting for this to drop🗣️
next… CREED movies
Glad you got to enjoy these. Awesome awesome series!
The training with Mickey and Duke were legit. Best managers ever!
4:00 Rocky Balboa, you'll find, is the sweetest man ever. And if you ask Sylvester Stallone, he will tell you that "Rocky" is not a boxing movie...it's a love story.
Not gonna lie these franchise reactions are pretty cool. Of course i love scream and rocky franchises too tho haha. Thanks for them
I really like this style of video , keep up the good work.
Great reaction video. Can’t wait for the Creed reactions. ❤️ Also, I miss Carl Weathers and I’m glad you experienced his most iconic role. RIP Apollo
Love the Rocky marathon!!! Thank you
A good review hon. Great concept, doing the entire series. Smart!
Being able to binge this first watch is a blessing

Rocky is a love story made for guys. There's really no other franchise that spans as long as Rocky + Creed and every single movie is good if not amazing
Props for posting all the movies at once, never seen that before
Great reaction! I love all these films and have them in the same order as you. Looking forward to the creed reactions!
Great Reaction To All Of The Rocky Movie's Sweetheart & R.I.P To All The Actor's Who We're In The Rocky Movie's, Still Miss You All, Always 😢
Mister, t took his mom to the Premiere of the movie rocky three and when she saw the scene where He said what he said to Adrian, she got so mad. At him that she said. Why are you talking to that woman like that? I didn't raise like that to talk to woman and left the premire
Awesome video Rocky is one of my favorites also I subscribed to your channel👍
Great thorough breakdown, not a dig, but probably the best IMO you've ever done. It was clear conscience and confident well done! Just a thought on a regular watch along video sometimes you do the intro sometimes Anthony does it take turns, you two are a great team keep up the great work.
lol the song she was singing was from rocky
It wasnt! She was singing The Final Countdown by Europe 😂
@@Nightmare200damn it see when I hum that it turns into Fly High now
I enjoy you mixing in a binge once in a while. Good times
This is epic ! Thank you guys rocky is my favorite franchise 👍. Are you gonna upload every movie individually with more footage? Thank u guys 🥊🥊🥊
1:17:55 Awww you left the best line of the movie out. I tear up every time Rocky is in the gym remembering Mickey and he says "You was the Angel."
I LOVE this long form reaction
True story: When Carl Weathers first auditioned for the part of Apollo Creed, he didn't know who Stallone was. He thought he was some lowly set worker and not the star of the movie. During the reading he stopped and asked for a 'real' actor to read against, that he could give a much better audition with someone better.... Stallone loved the arrogance and humor, he thought it was perfect for the Apollo character.
And they ended up becoming lifelong friends irl.
I always laugh when Apollo goes to hit Drago's fists and not even a flinch from Drago, like damn 😂
Amazing video, thank you!
Awesome reaction
I love these videos. We get extended time hanging out with Kacee reacting to classic films. We need more egg drinking. Ha. 😂
You will absolutely love this and we get to enjoy this wth you 🤘 Also....you guys really need to react to The Iron Claw. I would love to see you guys do this.
Part 2 for the creed trilogy?
Great reaction and i like what you said, sometimes your only advocate is yourself, and you have to stick up for yourself. 💯
44:30 just to clear things up Mickey was picking boxing champs and contenders that were sportsman like, give him a beatable challenge.
Not actively seeking a dark soul boss to kill or hospitalized Rocky. No person that loves or cares you purposefully put you a deadly situation

Regardless of how the second and third movies were perceived, the first Creed was a great concept and executed very well.
Excellent video! And the real cherry on the top was your Cowboys cap. Nice. 😊
Rocky is a love story, and the power of love. What a married man can do when he has a loving, strong wife by his side and supporting him.
Was listing tot his music today at the gym to keep me motivated lol.
Kacee having her own training montage was great.
beautiful movie series and yes it impacts u!!
the creed series is a great homage and extension of the rocky universe as well
Did she say to curb stomp Tommy gun 😂 I love it!!
Rocky told Paulie to call him up about the news crew, but he had told Adrain earlier he didn't have a phone.
Masterpiece ever. Great
YAY ANOTHER KACEE REACTION VIDEO!
You can take the warrior out of the war, but you can't take the war out of the warrior! ✌️
That was epic, such a great reaction and doing them all together fantastic. 5 great movies and 1 still enjoyable film (V). 2 for me just beats out the first one. 😀
Now time for CREED!
