You need a license ($$$) to make that kind of thing. Considering you're talking about Seinfeld, that license would take more money that the cost of all the 8 episodes they made for this show.

These types of office sitcoms usually work better when the lead character is the straight man surrounded by a bunch of looneys, not the other way around. The Andy Griffith Show, Barney Miller, Bob Newhart, and many others played that formula. And when Richards played the part of the straight man, he actually did it pretty well. The show might have worked if they tried that strategy which is probably what Richards wanted, but the network wanted Kramer 2.0. It didn't help that most of the supporting cast was very bland.

Fascinating they cast Bill Devane, a great actor, wasted here. Watching that character trying to bluff in a variety of careers might have been funnier. Still, it’s reasonably well plotted but it bombed massively.

I actually liked this show, all the Seinfeld fans complaining that this show sucks should let the past be the past and stop bitching. Seinfeld was a good sitcom, but that was in the '90s, time to move on. This show would've been a big hit for the 2000s.
started off pretty well but once he meets the fiancé it was all downhill from there. the subplots were pointless. stacey redoing the filing didn't tie in with anything at all. the boss, tim meadows, & the older dude were just a waste of time.
