I miss watching housos, I'm glad they made a new season in 2022. It's like, Australian tradition to watch Housos/Swift and shift and Fat pizza.

This was shown on SBS which is a partially government funded TV channel in Australia, that's right, it's not from a private media company on cable TV, the taxpayer of Australia produced this. I am so proud to be Australian, and I dare American or Canadian or UK producers to make a show like Housos. Double dare, triple dare, show me your best :)
Housos was at first criticised as being 'poverty porn', as in we're laughing at poor people; that's bullshit; I'm from western Sydney and I love it.
We used to reckon SBS stood for Soccer Before Sex coz of their late night content
Even my 70 plus year old mum watches it and she loves it - has been in Aus for 40 years- she laughs and laughs 😆

From an Australian I am telling you now that this show is extremely accurate of “bogan” culture in Australia.
Obviously it’s exaggerated cause it’s a tv show and it’s comedy however this show is indeed very authentic and true to the Aussie spirit and zeitgeist.
This was fun to watch 😊 I have been part of the Pauly Fenech family since Housos S2 in the music department, we've met a couple of times and he is the most down to earth, open minded and wordly person I have ever met. Thanks for watching!

I started making beats just for me and close friends 20 years ago, never would have imagined sending in a CD in response to a Facebook ad (for Housos!) would lead to the occasional DM asking for specific tunes on upcoming shows (Fat Pizza Back In Business, Housos vs Virus, Darradong Local Council) 😁 I try and put all my tunes from the shows up on all platforms, more coming soon, but my fave Series 2 tune is probably the Thong of Duty sequence - first time I heard my stuff on live TV!

Basically in Australian english, the S sound only makes a sound like the S "hiss" (aspirated) when there are two S's (with the exception of Aussie. With a single S its almost always pronounced like a Z, housos becomes houzoez

Yes this is aussie tv 😎 😜 you have a bit learn about the show. This is based on your typical Western Sydney suburb out in round Mt Druitt area where a lot of its filmed. Yes we have a lot of characters or should say people just like tbese in the show. Housos just over exaggerate and emphasise the typical unemployed area of Mt Druitt. 😂 Oh yes good old outer western Sydney where this show represents. 😂

The scenes at the shops and pub were filmed in the suburb I live in, Ermington NSW,it was awesome when they did location shoots there - love Housos - and yep! Ermo has more than a few Housing Commission Homes (thats why they call housing commission tenants "housos") around Dundas/Ermington.😊

I’m Australian and I can’t stand really strong bogan accents, thankfully they aren’t super common. You should watch an Aussie show called “Black Comedy” was on tv from 2013/14 to 2020 I think. It’s all indigenous people taking the piss out of everything 😂😂

This is Housing commission Housing areas and the people who live in them kind of like them …bikies, single mums with tribes of kids, the guys are all heavily tattooed, drink all day do drugs, deal drugs, Frequently outdoing burg or stealing cars… Yes there are some areas and Australia where people do talk like that. It’s not a joke. They are actually like that! Like I said the project trailer Park people from down south… rough as guts but there’s some real nice people down there… Some real bad ones but some nice ones. A lot of ice Labs in that area as well. Ice being Australian terminology for Methamphetamine. That’s one of the ‘cottage industries’ in areas like Sunnyvale! Love that you guys are so upset about a few curse words when you’ve got people in your country running around shooting and killing people with automatic weapons that nobody needs but the army. Those people are usually the same people who wander around carrying AK-47 and then popping into church on Sunday!
