It’s not disrespectful it’s the beautiful game of football
If you are a great defender you have to see it as disrespect… hes basically saying, as good as you are i can treat you like an infant lol. Although it is not disrespectful for us as viewers but simply entertainment
@@ImperiumOfLuther Sentiments like this are what's wrong with the world. Play is Play, my friend. As a sports person, you need to have a bit of ``child-likeness.`` They dribble you, you get up and keep it moving. keep the enthusiasm rolling, next you dribble someone else. That's it really.
@@agbugbachukwuemeka6739 play is play you are right. Doesnt mean its not disrespectful to do. No as a sports person you dont need child likeness at all its good to have but you need to know when to fight and when to mess about, its a mans game at pro level and not an exhibition. They are fighting for a trophy and a place in history to be immortalised and if you think people wont ridicule a defender for being rainbow flicked on the big stage then you are mistaken! It is disrespectful to try and embarrass someone and doing something like that is embarrassing and that naturally comes with the game! We are not saying Vini is a disrespectful player but pulling off that kind of move is disrespecting someone. Kyle does not want to be made a fool, especially in a game like that. If you cant understand that then you shouldnt be watching competitive sports because you dont know the difference between light hearted fun and serious competition. Those who dont take things serious lose most of the time! You dont give an inch otherwise your opponent will take a mile. It’s a cut throat mentality.
@@ImperiumOfLuther So what if a rainbow flick is the only option to get past that defender. How do you put a limitation on how a player should beat a defender. How do you even know whether or not he is thinking to embarrass the defender, when he's only playing by the rules. Dude game is game. You need to have an enthusiastic mind in sports and don't let fanatics get to you. All you need to be respected in a sports is hard work, doesn't mean you won't get done over once in a while. Sergio Ramos has been mesmerized many times by great players like Messi and Neymar, doesn't mean that he's not known for his great defending, good heading and acrobatics, that's the world of a defender. You have to put in work like Van Dijk. Complaining, labeling and limiting ones skill is an act of negativity and would not get you so far. Who are you to even stop a player from being skillful.
@@agbugbachukwuemeka6739a rainbow flick can’t be the only option to get through, you don’t see messi doing a useless rainbow flick that sends the ball 6 feet out.
If you're a defender you'll know wether it's disrespectful or not. A whole crowd can start taunting or shaming you after a move like that. It's important for your confidence. I know if you're a winger you wanna try your skills out. No issue with that. But on the flipside, if you're a Walker you won't like it or accept it one bit.
why nobody make an issue with a nutmeg then?
Also not the best defender to try it against. Maybe someone less rapid than Walker 😅
Yea but a foul would just be childish. Although I love the sport it is at the end of the day a game that they chose to play and fouling cuz u were not clever, fast, strong or skilled enough to stop it just proves the point similar to a baby throwing a tantrum when something doesn't go their way.
@mohamamdyahyaasadahmad3165 fouling actually achieves something because it stops the momentum for one and secondly it tells the winger don't try that again
@raphaelmapp8407 fouling is also unsportsmanlike for the most part. They are used tactically but not really something to be promoted. If that was okay then Suarez saving the goal with his hand was actually a fair enough play at the World Cup quarter-finals and I've actually seen people defend it. why should the winger not try it again? Because it makes the defender look bad? As long as it's a legal move that's that whereas a foul is not ofc. I know what I'm saying is a good bit impractical but to show conviction about it shows a childish ego that some players exhibit.
Lmfaoooo, we need more stories like this
Respect to kyle for this mentality 🎉... But vini should try it again tho.
How dare Vini try to make football entertaining again
I find it funny that ⚽️ was all about outsmarted your opponent so beating him is disrespectful 😅 ABSURDED
I fund it funny that football is all about outsmarted your opponent. So outsmarting them is disrespectful 😂 ABSURED
You don’t need a rainbow flick to beat a man. When you do that, you’re trying to get into your opponent’s head as well as beat them
@@PEEEZEEIt isn’t always about what a player “needs” to do, but like you say, establishing the range of attacking options at an attacker’s disposal (a form of getting in an opponent’s head), each of which the defender will need to consider before making a defensive action, is beyond what an attacker “needs” to do to beat a defender in a single moment of a 90-minute match-it is also preparing him for a greater likelihood of unpredictable, and therefore successful, 1-on-1 attacks, even as the match progresses and after the defender has dueled with the attacker many times.
@@customincisivecomment no disagreement here. My point is just that you can’t say the rainbow flick is not meant as disrespect
I dare you to tell that to Jay Jay Okocha even now
What is wrong with people nowadays? Now skills are disrespectful? If you are skilled defender you can take the ball and then showboat him , or do some other skills. Watch Eric Abidal, or Roberto Carlos etc.. they will take the ball and then show you better skills, they can showboat the player , nugmet him, or do other skills.
I like to see showboat. It is a good skill
Imagine someone doing it to you in a champions league final pretty much.
You have trained you're whole life for this game and someone trys embarrassing you to the world.
Ain't no way you're gonna allow it n clap and be happy about it. Its crazy disrespectful even at Sunday league level
@@CB-ms2cq who tried embarrassing him? just dont get rainbowed

Exactly that's the poiint but for some reason the guy above believes getting rainbow flicked isn't embarrassing
Why is great skill disrespectful?? Its not showboating but trying to get out of tight marking...
Do what you do! We all have gifts!
Let's say an executive printed an important document in the font "Comic Sans MS" for your business meeting. Would you call that flair and pizazz or plain disrespectful ? Disrespectful right ? These guys are professional football players, they're not playing kickaround football. Everyone's got to maintain a professional attitude when they come for official matches.

Cause that move never works on top class defenses. It's stupid to even try. You'll easily get fouled.
Vini will do it to you and your defense again
...watch n learn son
English players are confused.... Its Brazilian style of play... Kyle is programed from a young age to call that disrespectful..... Seriously confused 🎯
So why did roberto carlos didnot allow the same ball play against turkey 2002 world cup?
After the guy got him ,he practicallly foul the turkish player.....he should have allow him now.

+ 1 confused people 😂😂😂
I'm not English, it's disrespectful... try that against even a Brazilian defender, like Thiago Silva and he might foul you more than Walker will, I promise you that! Then there is Sergio Ramos and Pepe! They're not English, would you try it against them? Try my friend, just try, you'll know how passionate they are about the game, their livelihood, their dignity!😃
I’m not English, grew up as a CB then a WB. A rainbow flick is absolutely disgusting behavior 😂 happened to me once - never again. That’s even what motivated me to learn how to do it so well.
😂😂😂omg what makes it so funny 😂 is the honesty 😂 it's hilarious
People who say tricks are disrespectful are just shitty players who can’t do creative and entertaining stuff
He’s saying it as vini doing that means walker is easy to pass bu
If you get rainbow flicked. If you have a weak mind you will play bad the rest of the game. Its a tactic to get into someones head
I don't think he meant to say it was disrespectful, but man, I wouldn't want to get put in a Vini Jr. edit either
Poor lad didn't understand the question 😂
Why cant you rainbow flick the ball? If you’re good enough to pull it off, whats the problem? Neymar got set upon by Bilbao one time a decade ago for doing it. Aren’t we trying to encourage people to play with pizazz if they can?
No idea. Its a football trick, disrespect or not it should be allowed. If you got beaten by it thats your problem. Neymar shouldnt get carded by performing those
I don't think they're saying you can't, but as a defender if they do that and get past you it probably does feel shameful. That's what he meant by it realistically
Cause if you play like a child you need some man to teach you how to behave. Rainbow flick is not effective skill and mainly use to show off.
If you use too many skill just to show off and no effective on a man , you should be punished for that disrespect.
@@Justinbuitravel if its not effective and you still got caught by it, like i said before thats on you. Effective or not thats depends on the players wanna do it or not. Got the ball stolen already a punishment in professional settings.
No one has said you cant do that.
To disput a hall with a strong and fast man like walker a rainbow is a great option to escape him and not a disrespectful way
English players are not used to that kind of flair, for them football is systematic, for us in Nigeria and the South American teams, football is just pure magic

Jay-jay Okocha R-flicked defenders for days - just for the fun of it.
He was surrounded by three man city players and the sideline. I don’t believe he planned it therefore it wasn’t disrespectful it was his football instinct. Some players plan it a second or two before the defender press but Vini had not a second as he was dribbling away from Silva and had to do something to beat Walker.
Makelele warn Ronaldinho the same way during the DISGRACE GAME (Chelsea vs Barça)

When walker talk about respect😂
I don't understand why people say it is disrespectful to do such tricks. The point is to get passed the defender any which way you can.
This is why zlatan was roughing defender left and right and we always thought it was for not reason.
Imagine if these clowns of nowadays played with Ronaldinho !!! The amount of crying would be out of this world !
You’re exactly right. And imagine if Ronaldinho had grown up in England instead of Brasil! What a waste of a one-of-a-kind talent he’d be, sending in crosses to the box without the tricks, skills, or originality!!

He would be stupid being a multimillionaire and not speaking the business language.
Everyone worldwide understands some English
@@none_the_lessplenty of guys like that exist, far richer than footballers
@@kidnamedfinger2840 Sure, but staying in context.
A guy like Vinny, young and living in Europe, albeit Spain, has got all the incentives to at least learn the business language.
And given the crap he faces in Spain, the abuse regarding the colour of his skin, he’d better get smarter and go after more education and invest right, because being black, stupid and rich often leads to poverty. (I am black, so I know a thing or two of what I am talking about)
Edit:
PS: It’s not about the skin colour, it’s about being a smart person, and acknowledge the position of privilege he finds himself at. Football is finite, so to earn millions and stay just as smart as the average cab driver is a fucking failure to me.
@@none_the_lessUhh, Messi seems to be doing just fine. It’s more than OK if someone born in Brasil and living in Spain doesn’t want to learn English.
Watch Vini do it again in the second leg if Walker plays
Not sure if people got this or not, but when a defender says "disrespectful" he means for him personally. He's not calling Vini disrespectful, he just means as a defender he personally sees it as disrespect when a player tries something like that the same way a striker would feel disrespected by a keeper megging him or the likes
Kyle walker did his 2 families dirty and tried to run from his kids
Egos talking!
What do they mean "It's diSrESpeCtfUl"? A player's boxed in close to the line, his job is to beat you, he owes you no respect other than to not foul you or abuse you, everything else is fair, even if he literally breaks your ankles with a mad ass dribble.
I for one think the rainbow fliock is a genuis move. More defending players are conscious of the space between their legs in close spaces and have their eyes pinned to the floor; they're not expecting you to go up. And for the attacker, there isn't always much room to move the legs for a conventional dribble. With a rainbow flick, you put the ball past your man and literally skip past him. It's brilliant, and a necessary skill in corners.
That's not disrespectful, nobody it's stopping him from doing the same thing back, it's just a skill
Brazilians 💀☠️
How is it disrespectful? Brazilian dude showing his skills trying to skin players. That's what we want to see as fans
Imagine he tried that with Ronaldinho 😂😂😂😂
I wonder if a professional boxer could tell his opponent to never hit him with him with an uppercut ever again 🤔..
bad argument. boxing has its own form of showboating and the refs sometimes take points
@PEEEZEE The essence of dribbling or trickery in football is to enable the player/team in possession to get away from the opposing player(s), break through rigid defence, etc. If the referee doesn't deem it fit to caution a player for doing stepovers, nutmegs, elastico, rainbow flick, 360 roulette, etc, I see no reason why it should be a problem to anyone. If you even said it's an unwritten rule in the game that a player isn't allowed to do a flick on an opponent, it would have made more sense.
@@pradabazino something missing from your explanation (besides conceding that you made a bad analogy) was that it gets a rise from the crowd and is intended to have a negative psychological effect on the defender. A rainbow flick is not your average dribbling, it makes you look dumb if you get done. Nobody is saying that it should be illegal or that it has no place in the game. Kyle is just saying "I ain't the one"
@@PEEEZEE The special one, Relax. You don't have any right in the world to tell another player what to do, or not do when they're in possession. You can just foul him and move on if you feel he's doing the most. Why should one care about your feelings during the course of the game, when the objective is to dismantle the defender(s) - be it psychologically or otherwise in order to get the W. After the game, we can talk about your feelings.
@@pradabazino You have a right to say whatever you want, dummy. Talking ish is a psychological battle tactic just the same as showboating is. Again, I don't think ANYBODY is saying there's no place for showboating in the game. They're just talking about a back and forth between two opponents, plain and simple
It is not disrespectful at all. Intentionally Phisically assault a colleague is much more disrespectful
If a rainbow flick is disrespectful, then so is a nutmeg.
Haha yeh - no way can u let that happen
Never forget Ilhan Mansiz of Turkey did a rainbow over roberto carlos in a world cup semi final. And it worked. But he took him down from behind bc no defender would let them get away after that
Obviously you foul if somebody does that, you have to put the fear in them, make them hesitant
I don't understand how they have re defined football skills as disrespectful. It has always been part of the game. So you guys should just say all skills are disrespectful including nut megging so that everyone just play plain passing, running and shooting so that we all see how boring the game will look. Nonsense.
Maybe scoring goals will be labelled disrespectful in the near future.
How dare a football player try to use tricks to give himself an advantage over his opponent. Walker needs to check his ego.

These Europeans will make football mechanical and robotic. This sport is unlike all other sports. Its as much art as it's a profession. This is why neutrals always support Latin American nations.
its literally defending u wouldn't want ur opponent being to confident
Oh, the English and their “don’t stick out from the crowd” mentality. Perhaps, it’s one reason for their underachieving on the World Stage, despite their great talent. Try telling a Brasilian-whether attacker, midfielder, or defender (or even goalkeeper!)-that a unique or inspired skill executed at an unexpected and opportune moment is in some way more disrespectful to a defender than attempting to beat the player in any other way. This mentality must be quite oppressive to certain types of attackers-and almost certainly guarantees England is unlikely to produce a player in the style of Ronaldinho, Zico, Rivaldo, or even Vinicius and Neymar during my lifetime.
For the sake of the development of the loads and loads of talented English youngsters, I hope this self-limiting mindset slowly begins to change!
