Hi friends! I'm Jennifer, a forty-something wife and mother of 7 children ages 9 - 25. We are Catholic. We homeschool. We cook from scratch. We farm cranberries. We drink coffee. We advocate for Down syndrome awareness. We are loud. We are chaotic.
Here I'll share vlogs about all these things, what I'm doing that works and what I've tried but didn't work. I hope to encourage you in your journey through motherhood, homeschooling, learning to cook, and growing in your faith through it all.

Warren shaking his head in the background about the leftover cabbage made me giggle. And the Joe Cam was just too cute.
I always get THE BEST UNINTENDED HUMOR from this family by watching videos more than once!
I love the saying go love your family with food
Thanks for sharing your real life meal combos and including the “oops” that occur from time to time ex when chicken didn’t defrost as planned and you went w plan B or when cole slaw mix was slimy so you used the salad mix instead. Those are definitely real life happenings. Keep filming & sharing. Susan
Jen, if you started thawing/cooking your frozen chicken in the instant pot (or pressure cooker) you'd have that chicken all done in minutes. I cook my hamburger for om frozen to cooked. They both take only 35 minutes. A thought with love.
Jennifer, Put a post it note in your cookbook to try adding orange zest to the cream cheese frosting. Thats how we've done pumpkin bars for years. I would make up the frosting as soon as the cake goes in the oven. I would leave it on the counter in my cool wisconsin kitchen in winter. Or fridge in my warm wisconsin summer kitchen. Let the zest meld in the cream cheese frosting a bit. It makes it even more amazing!! That's one of the cakes I always asked for for my birthday. And a Thanksgiving tradition in our family.
Thank you again for sharing your time and recipes and helpful tips. I hope everyone is feeling well, take care, God bless
Thanks Jennifer ❤ I miss seeing the older kids!
Me too. They are so busy.
Oh thank you!I love watching!
Always enjoy. Blessings
Everything looks great!
Today I made the split pea soup with ham bone tha you shared in A previous video. It was a huge hit with everyone, so it'll be my go to recipe going forward! Thank you!
Puppy chow ... I love Joe
Thank you Jennifer for all you do. The hardest part for me is meatless meals since I do not like fish.
I loved seeing your meals come together after watching your meal prep! Leftovers are such a blessing. Hope you are having a great week!😀
Leftovers are my friend!!
All looks delicious!!
Love your videos. You are so comfortable cooking and baking. I enjoy too.
All those meals looked so yummy 😋 thanks for sharing
Delicious Jennifer!❤️
I just wanted to let you know that I made your focaccia bread last night. My entire family just loved it. I’m eating it as a sandwich with just cheese and butter right now. So good! Thank you for your delicious recipes. (Also made your choc chip blondies, half choc chip, half butterscotch…yummy!)
Pumpkin bars look good. I do a lot of meal prep ahead, as much as I can especially when having the whole family over. Some of the things I make actually cook better from a frozen state, and make it a lot easier when the whole gang is here.
Your pumpkin bars were so pretty with the design in the frosting. I just love your recepies!
Good morning everyone happy Thursday morning and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
Good morning!☀️
@A Country Life good morning how are you 😊
Jennifer you are a great cook! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! Have a lovely day.
Thanks for sharing. That roast looked amazing!
It was so good. The toasted bun really bumped it up a notch.
Everything looks delicious as always, I’m also the only cabbage lover in my family unless it’s my sourkraut they all love it!
as always so fun, looks yummie and thanx for always sharing
My pleasure 😊
Good food!!!
Thanks for sharing another video of Deliciousness Jennifer 😊 Everything looks Yummy!😋
Thanks so much! 😊
❤ love your video!
Also, I made up your chicken BBQ for sandwiches and oh my gosh, was that yummy!
I enjoy following along with you and I watch the prep so it was interesting.
Awesome! Thank you!
Wonderful meals you have prepared! Enjoy your weekend! 😋😀
Thank you 😋
I've got both of your cookbooks and I use them all the time Jennifer
My heart is happy. Thank you. 😀
Hello Jennifer and sweet family! You definitely love your family with food. Everything looked delicious. Joe maybe wanted some puppy chow, too sweet. Have a blessed night!
I guess it’ll be time to whip up some puppy chow for him.
Thanks for sharing
Hi Jennifer. Love your videos. Everything looked yummy (although I have never eaten venison-but you make it look so delicious)! Have a blessed day.
We’ll prepared venison is delicious and lean.
Now I have to make pumpkin bars! Have the right pan and all the ingredients! Your cook books too! I’m set!
Have fun baking.
So the way you set out all the ingredients for the pumpkin bars is how I HAVE to do things, especially when baking. My scatter brain will always leave something out or my eyes skip over an ingredient in the recipe if I don't have it all laid out first, lol.
Hi 😊, I just finished watching your virtual videos, all 50 of them, on my T.V. You are so right, all they show normally is just the harvesting. I really enjoyed watching each one of them. I do have a question. Do you all ever get a vacation ?
Hi Jutta, thanks for watching my cranberry videos. Please share that playlist with others you think will find them interesting. Thank you. 😀
All your meals looked so dilish, we have tried the pumpkin bars from the cookbook and they are great.
Thanks for sharing that with me. Have a terrific day.
I love that....go love your family with food!! Got my apron....love it too!! From Montgomery al ❤️ 💕
Have fun cooking!
You always look so beautiful and Maria does also Love you all so much 🙏🏻✝️☮️📿
Thanks so much. I hope you are feeling well.
Hi Jennifer I’m going to make cabbage rolls for the freezer tomorrow ! Have lots of rice I need to use and cabbage heads . I love my Pyrex pan that size also but I’ve used them so much I can’t get them to look good anymore 😢 but they work lol 😊 everything looks delicious . Thank you ! ✨🌈✨
Try the magic eraser I've had really good luck with them getting old pans clean...
They’re well seasoned ☺️
🤗
@@annafyfe8361 thank you Anna 😊
Genius!! I saw when you were cutting chicken you put paper towel under the board to hold it still. I’ve never thought to do that.
A damp paper towel works, but I actually use a rubbery drawer liner. It works for holding cutting boards in place as well as opening tight jars.
❤️ ❤️
We like brownies chewy
I always throw those chicken fat scraps into my chicken bone bag in the freezer to make stock, no waste!
👋
Who was playing piano ? Sounded so nice. Joe cam is cute. Your mess looked really good! I can’t tell you how many Tia I buy produce and find it’s bad.
Maria was playing piano in the background of some of the shrimp taco clips.
The shrimp tacos looked amazing...as did everything else
. Did Warren like the salad mix better than the coleslaw?
He said it was fine, but we both agreed the cole slaw provides a good crunch.
I bought a bag of Aldi coleslaw mix on a Friday. Went to use it on a Tuesday and it wouldn't last one more day. It was definitely not expired.
Our produce from Aldi hasn’t lasted long at all
What a bummer.
Oooo… what’s in the cornflake clusters?
The recipe is in cookbook 1. It’s sugar, corn syrup, peanut butter, cornflakes and peanuts.
Hi Jennifer How are you doing 🙏🏻✝️☮️📿
Doing well thank you. So much going on all the time.
Question?? Why is Maria so picky? I never had picky eaters so I have a hard time understanding that! LOL Does she take vitamins/minerals?
I had one picky and one not. No idea why.
A lot of kids are picky eaters. She will grow out of it. If you fix her what she likes she will eat it. No big. Deal
My son's autism and ADHD caused him to eat pizza, cheeseburgers, and spaghetti O's and not much else for over 5 years. Once he was old enough to make a sandwich I stopped making him separate food. Now at 14 he eats most meals I make unless his meds are messing with his appetite. Vitamins weren't very consistent because he'd up and refuse them after a while. Now he takes them everyday. Probably not true for each kid but not catering to the pickiness (and at the same time not making a big deal about it) has worked for my son. BTW he's average height and weight. Slim but still average and healthy (I work at his school and can easily compare when I start worrying) 💗
@@AndreaRuralMN yes I think you need to pick your battles with kids and food.
Some kids are just pickier than others. Same as adults. I don’t make a big deal over it because after 7 kids I see that eventually they come around and eat. Nick was by far my pickiest and today I haven’t found a food he doesn’t like except nuts in cookies. 😊
Careful with your grammar.
