Bro, that Muslim doesn’t not know the Hadith properly. In the Hadith a Jewish man greeted the prophet pbuh with “Assamu Alaikum” so Assam instead of Assalam. This means “Death be upon you”. Therefore, the Hadith teaches us to reply to any person that greets with you with Assamu Alaikum with Walaikum which mean “to you too”. It’s not racist or devicive at all. Alhamdulillah

The hadith says that we shall only say Wa aleikum salam, when we think that the other person (is it jewish or christian) didn't mean the greeting. However, they intentionally twist it into "Assamu alaykum," which means "death be upon you." The reason Muslims say “walaykom” instead of saying “walaykom al-salam” is because Jews used to tell Muslims “Al-sum alaykom” which literally means “poison” and make it sound like al-Salam. so by only saying “walaykom” you are only returning what they said, if it was peace so be it and if it was poison then that’s their choice. The jews used to say "ASsammo alaykom" instead of "asalamo alaykom" when they greeted Muslims, sounds very similar but the meaning is different, what they're saying to Muslims is "Death be upon you" and not "peace be upon you", therefore our prophet peace be upon him taught us to respond with "and upon you" since they're not wishing any good on us.

The real story is that the Jews at the time of the Prophet Muhammad used to say "As-Samu Alaykum" (Death be upon you) instead of "As-Salaamu Alaykum" (Peace be upon you) as way of mocking the Muslims. So the Muslims were instructed to say "And upon you (too)". The majority of Islamic scholars state if a Jew gives the correct greeting you should return it (Wa Alaykum As-Salaam). Because in the Qur'an it states that if you are given a greeting you should return it with the same or one better than it. So your whole argument is nonsense you are just targetting some poor hapless Muslim to harass, you cowards!
