The Strombo Show is celebrating 10 years on the radio dial in 2015, hosted by award-winning personality George Stroumboulopoulos on CBC Radio 2, Sunday nights 8 - 11 PM. It's a program created by music lovers for music lovers, celebrating the conversation around song. There are no boundaries, with the gamut running from Aretha Franklin to Slayer and everything in between. We have welcomed many musical guests onto the program, including major international artists like Queens of the Stone Age, Elvis Costello, Leon Bridges, The National, Ani DiFranco, Vampire Weekend, Ghostface Killah, Steve Earle and Patti Smith to Canadian talent such as Neil Peart, Blue Rodeo, Gordon Lightfoot, Tragically Hip Tegan & Sara, Death From Above 1979 and City & Colour.

The melodies she writes are so simple but so attention-getting and hypnotic.
Chelsea spoke in an interview to this precise idea, saying, in essence, to prefer simple chords that induce a sort of trance.
Chelsea Wolfe’s music has gotten me through that part of the grief process so many times where like- there’s nothing really left but to turn inward and break open in order to move forward. I can’t really explain it but it’s so cathartic and I can’t thank her enough for sharing herself so lovingly with us all.

She shouldn't have trashed 'Mistake in Parting', it was a fantastic album, I absolutely love it! In fact it's still one of my favourites from her, along with Soundtrack VHS, which is also a record worth way more attention than a 30 copies CD-R DIY release...

I really like this performance, If I might suggest, her BBC session are also perfect (and daytrotter sessions, and A38 rocks.... and... my god... she is perfect in any setting... I hope to see her next year when she hopefully finnishes her european tour.
