3 yrs since my last comment saw them back in 78 i was in the RAAF, 45 yrs later going to see them at the bridgeway, reckon its gonna be a pensioner meet, one of the best pub bands australia has seen, thanks guys.
I saw these guys in Newcastle last week, last time I saw them was 30 years ago. I could still sing along. F@@KING AWESOME
Newy🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Nice bro 😶😶😶😶 u just gotta admit this music is so underrated
These guys should of been international stars. You can’t sound more Australian than this mob!
Still one of the greatest Aussie bands .....yep saw them many times in 79,80,81,82
And still goin around today, how fuckn good
Me too !! Great times !!
I heard this band rehearsing in a garage in Blacktown in mid 70's. The drummers parents owned a servo on Richmond Road Blacktown. Then I saw them play in a pub...the rest is Aussie pub music history. Go the Rads...thanks for memories.
They played THE COMB & CUTTER a lot. Great memories.
This song give me great memories of my youth growing up in blacktown in the 80s . Wheres all the great australian pub rock these day's ?
Yo man! :)
Remember the Comb and Cutter??
...or as my school principle referred to it: The Kerb and Gutter lol
The hardest working band in Australian music history.
1978 - Present
Fess left in 2013 after 35 yrs, not a bad stint.
Brendan Callinan only lasted 10 yrs, 1978-1988, most bands don't last that long.
Mark Lucas on Drums since 1989.
Brian and Geoff since 1978, wow that's a staggeriing 42 yrs.
Outstanding Aussie band with a wide range of songs and styles.
The critics can go and get well and truly fuck*d!!!!!
So very eloquently voiced brother. These guys have put out a very long list of great songs. Scream of the Real & Life's a Gamble were my favourite albums. But seeing you list the longevity of the various band members is truly amazing. A great band, and a great bunch of guys. Have met them a few times after several shows. They were always friendly to total strangers.
Hallelujah to that Alan Strom
Absobloodylutely !!!!
One of the best and most underrated Aussie songs of the 80s
fess's song is another classic check it out yeah
+MrPizza063 Yeah that's a good one too. I know most of them, I saw them supporting Mental As Anything at Sth Morang Pub a few years ago to a crowd of about 30 people
Under rated my fuckin arse, they were the best western sydney had ever....
@@scrumpyhunter8561 Not the point. Being good or even great doesn’t mean they still can’t be underrated. How successful were they really compared to so many other Australian bands of the same era?
Totally underrated band too!
One of Australia’s best Rock Band. Unsung Heroes. 🌟🌟🌟🎶🎶🎶🤗🤗🤗🤗
Rads are still kicking ass - Saw them in Emerald on the weekend.
Blacktown boys 2148 still rockin today
Classic Aussie band. Never a bad gig, ever...
Comb & Cutter '78, most of us tripping off our faces, You Give Me H-H-head!! Best wishes lads!
You just reminded me of the other song 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Blue Light Disco years! ❤️🥰
I remember seeing the Radiators at Sweethearts Cabramatta, Fairfield RSL and a few other places.
Whenever I'm overseas and about to come home to Oz, I can't get this song out of my head, classic Aussie rock!
Im 14 and I listen to these legends! Good music is powerful
Still bobbing to this !!!
And memories of the Manly Vale
On tonight, Aug 4 on the Central Coast, 2023!!!
Bloody fantastic. One of the most underrated OZ bands.
They were originally called Big Swifty, they played the Bayview Hotel, Gladesville. Part of the $5 entry fee was a meal, which was compulsory for pubs at the time as they did'nt want you to get pissed on an empty stomach. The paper plate comprised of a sausage and a three bean mix. Unfortunately, the three bean mix usually ended up being catapulted and sprayed around the joint from a plastic fork.
Youngsters today don't know what good music is. What a time to live when these were around. Rads, Oils, ACDC, Angels etc etc etc.
Erwin Montgomery put this one on your calendar:18th July 2015 at Mt Bundy Station in the Northern Territory, Live on Stage
https:\\facebook.com/events/1555134321442879/?ref=98

No worries Erwin Montgomery we have a full day of live music happening. Headline act is Becky Cole, but I am looking forward to the Radiators. For all those reasons in your original post :-)
Erwin Montgomery 100 % right Mentals,Icehose,Dragon etc etc etc

No song filled a dance floor quicker in the early 80's!! :)
I could imagine.
DON'T WORRY IT'S ALRIGHT!
Really.... nah' its the American New Orlean Rads lol.....
Give me head Baby !
Just heard it on the radio. One of the hardest working bands in the country. We used to go see them in the 80s. Wish they got more support. They are Brilliant.
I love that this song is still on the first page
I saw the Radiators live at the Homestead Hotel Zillmere, in the early '80s, BRILLIANT. Best night ever. I saw them 2 years ago. Will some please step up and look after Brian. The Radiators can be great and will be to me.
I think the radiators were ahead of there time!

We lived in Liverpool & I was in Primary school, when I first heard The Radiators in the 80's.
Took me back to happiest day's of my teens!! Awesome song!!!
I remember singing loud and dancing to this with friends at Scarborough flix ,many great memories :)
My mates old merc blew up on the way that night. We abandoned it at the side of the road and hitched the rest of the way. Great night.
What a great song
Classic
Brilliant base !
by far the most under rated band in Australia
The Rads 👊 🤘✌️🇦🇺
I love this band.
Real rock'n'roll was in '60s - . My kids loved Radiators and they are now 45 and 43 yrs old.
Unfortunately pub rock is dead in Australia, its all dance music, tenchno, hip hop and funk. Much cheaper to have a DJ doing his thing.
There was a 10 year period between 1976 - 1986 that will never be repeated with bands playing everywhere 5 nights a week. I remember you could see Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel or INXS at their peak playing the same Friday night within 10 km of each other.
I sure miss those days of going to Adelaide's Old Lion or Bridgeway Hotel to catch a band or Thebby for a concert. It's so sad that it seems to all be over. I loved to watch all the good music shows too
Ya just can't bet Aussie Pub Rock!
Ya just can't explain it to the kids today, i mean you just had to be there & experience what it was like!.. Smoking, Drinking & singing along with a bunch of people you didn't know! Great Times.....
rushbeat14 yup... I was lucky I lived in those times. Selina’s, the Manly Vale Hotel, etc...
Hey what,we saw about 18mnths ago ,full set at shorthand bowlo. Just like old days, bout 150 people.👍
You are so correct mate they were great days and will never be repeated again... so sad
🔸☀️🔸 Decades Ago I'd go along to See these crazy rabbits and had the Best Time of my life... 18 or 19 visits to be in the crowd... Angels 10 or 11 times
This is fantastic. Id never heard it before. I was looking for a song related to the theft of all of our radiators today.
Every time they came to my old hometown,LismoreNSW they were a must see..guaranteed of a great night ;)
Went to see them about six months ago (in 2012) - they're still great!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They were regulars at the old Homestead Hotel in Boondall > Brisbane.
Your are so right about the bands no one these days realise we actually saw them in real time as they were before they were changed, some of the pubs are no longer around or have changed names, remember the robin hood main street Blacktown closed down in one night and I say one night just demolished look what is there now the owners are millionaires, pity the bands did not have the forth sight
