How can add and connect extra monitor or screen to my AVH-601EX
The Pioneer AVH-601EX has an RCA video output. The Video Output is a yellow RCA jack on the back of the in-dash receiver. Does the Maestro allow this to control my ac on a older model?
Do you mean an older model in-dash receiver? Or an older model vehicle? On supported vehicles, Maestro RR can give access to existing controls from the vehicles climate control system. For example: If you your vehicle has on-screen climate controls. And you replace the factory screen for a new screen, the new screen will need on-screen climate controls just like the original screen. That's what Maestro does. If your vehicle has hard button on the dash climate controls. When you replace the radio, the hard button climate controls remain the same, and will not appear on-screen. How can I configure the steering wheel control buttons on the AVH-601EX
Steering wheel controls are enabled with the use of a 3rd party adapter. Many are available. Here is one possibility: www.metraonline.com/part/AXSWC
The steering wheel control adapter is programmed at the time of installation.
There is no steering wheel control setup in the Pioneer AVH-601EX.

Does this model switch to backup camera when it receives a video signal?
Or through a reverse signal?
Nearly every Pioneer video receiver, including the Pioneer AVH-601EX, uses a reverse signal input to automatically open and close the backup camera window on the in-dash receiver. So the only difference between an AVH-601EX and an AVH -600EX is that the AVH601EX has a remote? Any other differences? I ordered a 600EX but received a 601EX and Walmart called it a "Free upgrade".
So, no that's not the only difference. The Pioneer AVH-601EX also has built-in HD Radio. The AVH-600EX does not. And the Pioneer AVH-601EX has dual camera inputs. The AVH-600EX does not. If I update the firmware will this radio be able to use WebLink?
No. Updating the firmware will not give the Pioneer AVH-601EX WebLink. I recommend to update the receiver's firmware for more stable operation. I love my new AVH-601EX but every time I power it up, the channels change by itself on Sirius XM. The back up camera warning (Objects may appear reversed)also comes on randomly. How do I fix this?
I recommend to press the microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-601EX on the hard key panel beside the eject button. If this does not correct the issue and you are using a 3rd party steering wheel control adapter, the steering wheel control adapter may be programmed incorrectly, for the wrong vehicle or for the wrong receiver. This will cause random operation on the receiver. Please be sure to install the latest firmware for your Pioneer AVH-601EX. Thank you for replying. I do have a 3rd party steering wheel control interface connected but not working. Could be grounded improperly. Already came with latest firmware so update wasn't necessary. I'll make sure steering wheel control interface is connected properly and maybe that will solve my problem.
Hello Does your deck click and tick from the cd player when you power it up?
This is not normal operation for a Pioneer in-dash receiver. I recommend to eject any disc that may be in the receiver and try a new disc. What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? If you have the Pioneer AVH-601EX, I recommend to press the microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer AVH-601EX on the hard key panel beside the eject button. The Pioneer AVH-601EX was manufactured back in 2017 and may require service. I have it and love it i put my speaker level control for sub and speakers to 10...i hope im not sendong a clipped signal to my 4 cannel and sub .. was that a smart thing to do?
For best audio quality and to ensure a clean non clipping signal, I recommend keeping each of the speaker level controls at zero or lower. The speaker level control allows the user to change the output of any given speaker independently from the other speakers in the vehicle. If you raise all of the speaker levels the same amount, you not changing the output level of a speaker relative to the other speakers in the vehicle.
