Very nice. Good for you. I'm not sure how Bristol works but i used to love taking non drag racing fans to the Gatornationals in Gainesville. The pits there are open to the public and I'd tell folks to get close when the top fuel cars when the crews were about to crack them up... I'd slowly inch backwards and watch them jump three feet in the air when it cracked and then walk away wincing and coughing when the nitro methane fumes hit them
That's great. Good for Scag doing that. I haven't owned a Scag in almost twenty years. Nothing against them, i just didn't have a nearby dealer.

Yea the too fuel almost knocked me down trying to get a great shot that close. Bristol has open pits also. What was interesting is they all had ropes or fenses arounfd them except the scag ones. Randy said you dont need them, people respect natural boundries and they have never had an issue with peoplle wanting to get too close

@@pandhlawncare I agree with Randy. For the most part, everyone involved in drag racing, regardless of the level of competition, is super cool. Fans and drivers respect each other and the crews as well. If you like drag racing and you've never been to a 'door slammer/street car' event, you should check one out. For twenty years my buddy and I attended the world street car shootout at Orlando speedway. It is the best car/racing event I've ever been to, especially in the early years. Cards would get shipped over from all over the world to race. Guys would send over from Sweden Volvos with small block for engines with turbo chargers and clear, lexan hoods. It was wild and everyone had a great time going over each other's rides and learning

One thing you missed about Metalcraft of Mayville. They pride themselves on everything they make and their subsidiaries make is Made in the USA.

Also Metalcraft purchases 100 million pounds of steel per year, not one pound is purchased from china

What is the guy doing at the 14-minute mark? Cleaning debris off tires? I love that the cars share the same color scheme as the mowers.

It's know as a burnout. Does clean debris, but mainly builds heat in tire so it has better traction. That big ol' tire only carries about 10 psi.
