ESU Switchpilot & KATO Unitrack Turnouts

- ESUのSwitchpilotでKATO（ユニトラック）のポイントを動かしてみました。つなぎ方が分からず、半分あきらめていましたが、今回、やっと動かすことができました。KATOのポイントを動かすためには、Switchpilot Extensionが必要でした。
Switchpilotは、鉄道模型のポイントや信号などのアクセサリーをデジタルでコントロールするためのデコーダーです。１個で６個までアクセサリーをコントロールできます。つぎは、踏切のコントロールにチャレンジしてみたいと思っています。

I know that some people want to control the KATO points by the switchpilot. So I, somehow, considered how to do it. The solution is an answer to control them, but we cannot find it on the manual of switchpilot and the ESU forum. I found again that the ecos is a very interesting useful item. I will learn more about it.

Hi tak intresting vid, intresting cross over section of track too, good to see you solved the problem & to post your solutions for others to see as there is not a lot of info in this area for the ecos & switch pilot etc. there are many settings for the ecos which i am learning about, i am now converting all my points to this system inplace of the standard push button fleischmann switch. Thanks tak....

I know another special decoder for the KATO turnouts produced by Digitrax. It can control up to four turnouts like the ESU switchpilot.
But, recently, the decoder always sold out in Japan.

コメントありがとうございます。このswitchpilotでは３線の真ん中がコモンとなっているので、おそらくプラスが１極でマイナスが２極ということだと思います。
ＤＣＣでは、各車両に搭載したデコーダーに番号を記録させ、その番号に応じて各車両を個別に制御します。簡単に言うと、線路には１３Ｖ前後の電流（交流）が常に流れていますが、１番の車両に「走れ」という指令を出すと１番が動き出します。一方、２番の車両は止まったままか、逆に走らせることができます。また、１番に「ライト点灯」という指令を出すと１番のライトが点灯しますが、２番の車両のライトは消えたままにできます。ポイントにも番号を付ける必要があって、指示を出したいポイントの番号を選択して指令を出せば、そのポイントが作動します。ただ、ポイントの数が少なければ、ポイントだけDCで制御した方が素早くコントロールできるかと思います。さらに、Detectorという機器を導入すると、各車両が今どこにいて、何をしているかをＰＣの画面に表示できるようになり、ＰＣで各車両やポイント、信号などの自動制御もできますが、この辺はこれから学習しようと思っています。

ヨーロッパではコイルが２つ付いたポイントやサーボを利用するものが主流のようで、ESUはKATOのポイントのことは考慮していないですね。自分がやってみたのはマニュアルにはない変則的なつなぎ方です。私はレイアウトにポイントを埋め込んでしまってからＤＣＣを導入したので、switchpilotのような外付けのデコーダーがどうしても必要でした。switchpilotはつなぎ替えが簡単にできるので、いろいろと使えそうです。購入前は、４個か6個のデコーダーに相当する製品かと思っていましたが、使ってみるとデコーダーとしては１個で、ファンクションに相当するものが６個ある仕組みなのですね。
コメントありがとうございます。デジタルだといろいろできるのですが、コントローラーの画面展開がまるでintelのceleronでwindows Xpやってるみたいで、素早くないです。せっかちな自分としては、KATOのアナログポイント切替機で操作した方が格段に速くて良いと思います。デジタル制御はハンブルグのミニチュア・ワンダーランドみたいに人にたくさんの列車やギミックを見せるときには威力を発揮しますが、普通の家庭のレイアウトだと「面白半分でやってみた」ぐらいの感覚かもしれません。一方、屋根裏全部使って複雑なレイアウトやっている人には、デジタルは本当に面白いと思います。

そう言えばPECOの電動も３線式だったかな？マイクシールドのようにマイナスが２極なんでしょうか。それにしてもDCCでポイント制御はコントローラースイッチを配列しなくて便利そうですね。しかしヤードが複数存在する場合即該当ヤードを呼び出し出来るのでしょうか？DCCは今年にはチャレンジしたいと思っていますので色々と参考になります。
My layout has 10 switches and 6 uncouplers. How many switchpilots and extensions am I looking at?
A switchpilot has switches up to 4 solenoid accessories (e.g. points) or 8 loads such uncoupling ramps. in detail, i recommend you to see the ESU website. Thank you for the message.
I also use Kato-Turnouts, but I use special DCC-Decoder for the two-wirde-Kato. So, you have only two wire from the turnout to the decoder. The decoder is like this: (look for jokashop dot de in google)
