The Early season for me 1-5 were great! Then writers hopped over and smacked the show in the face, we can all agree, I wanna see him in the big screen
Grant is doing well for himself. A lead on Broadway, a possible cinematic franchise, etc. Good for him!
Grant did say in an interview that if someone called he would hear them out, and I totally trust James Gunn to handle the Flash's character if that is the route they went

@@TheBarkster every superhero movie he's directed since 2014 has gotten over 80% audience score on rotten tomatoes, averaging closer to 90% I would say that's a good enough reason to have trust in him doing a better job than the recent slop DC has gotten.

Make him the flash of the new DCU. It's what most people wanted when the snyderverse was a thing and people want it even more now after the flash movie bombed so hard. Not to mention they didn't even pay off the cross him and ezra miller did in that movie. He deserves it!

I think the arrowverse trinity should be in the dcu, Melissa, Stephen and Grant are all the defining versions of their characters and it would be nice to have vibe and killer frost and other arrowverse characters returning

Grant Gustin is better than what’s his face is for the Flash in the DCU. I’ve never watched the Flash live actions movies because Grant Gustin wasn’t in it.
I think he is more old enough to play the flash than when he first started playing Flash. The one part of his character i could never get behind was how somone that was that young was police scientist now i could totally be behind it

I mostly wanted to see him as the flash in the DCEU when he was actively the flash. Now though he seems happy doing what he's doing I think it was his dream to do the Broadway stuff and that's what is more important to me is that he's found something new and hes having fun. However if he came back to a DC project specifically in the DCEU it might be nice for him to keep this flow he has right now and give him a new character to play as, give him room to get creative, face new challenges I mean we all know he has the Flash mastered. Just my opinion though
At this point, it’s pretty safe to say that eventually we will see Grant back as his version most likely of the flash in some sort of Multiverse or else worlds cameo or something in the near future or later future due to James Gunn and his new DCU.

Of course I would love for Grant Gustin to be the Flash in a James Gunn DC film.
If I remember correctly there was a story arch back in the 90's when Wally West was the Flash and then Barry Allen (who would of course be played by Grant Gustin) came from the past as a mentor or something like that but it ended up actually being the Reverse Flash origin story. Which I could easily see as a sequel to a James Gunn Flash movie.

as much as I absolutely love Grant as an actor, he plays his roles unbelievably well no matter what it is, I really don't have high hopes for him being in alot of future films as major roles, he stepped back in acting to be there for his wife and child and I completely understand that. I'd love to see him more, but I totally get why we haven't
I'd be thrilled to see Grant Gustin take on the role of the Flash in the DC Universe (DCU). While it's a feasible idea, it might not unfold in the manner most fans anticipate. Picture this: the DCU finds itself in need of a Flash, and through some intricate plot device-perhaps involving the Spectre (played by Stephen Amell)-they temporarily recruit Barry from the Arrowverse for a particular mission. However, during the climax, Barry inadvertently creates a Time Remnant, akin to the event that spawned Savitar. This remnant then assumes the mantle of the DCU's Flash.
To pull this off effectively, the remnant would need to undergo memory loss, allowing Grant to portray a slightly altered version of Barry from the Arrowverse. It's doubtful that they would permanently integrate the Arrowverse Flash, especially considering the likely setting in a different universe. Unless they devise a scenario where Barry still vanishes despite surviving the crisis. Removing him from his universe only to insert him into another, complete with a new Iris West, would pose logistical challenges. However, they could introduce a new romantic interest for him, given the plethora of options available. Alternatively, if they wish to honor the Arrowverse's conclusion for Barry and let him have his happily ever after, utilizing a Time Remnant could serve as a viable solution.

Grant should have been the DCU Flash to begin with. So IMHO that’s the role they should offer. But I will admit Ray Palmer would be interesting, I just don’t see them doing as much with him and Grant could definitely do a few movies if he liked.

Actors can break out of that 'only seen as that one role' biggest example obviously being Patterson, man was only known as the sparkly cringe vampire, and now hes freaking batman and personally he did it quite well, probably my favorite live action dc movie since dark knight. Grant can totally push out of the flash he just needs the chance and he needs to do well in whatever role he gets

I’m on the fence because I would want a younger, comic accurate version of Barry Allen. I never read the comics, but I know that’s what fans of the comics want. I’d rather Grant and the actors of so many of DCTV shows return for a multiverse crossover coined as Elseworlds with superior writing, directing, VFX because most of them deserve a better ending.

He was passable in the show but I never looked at him and thought he was Barry Allen, Rick Cosnett was a perfect looking Barry! Grant wasn't bad overall and hope to see more of him. I'd like to see grant as plastic man, he's got the slim look and general look is close. Atom and blue beetle aren't bad choices either
I mean, Nathan Fillion has voiced many Green Lantern in DC Animated for quite some time. Mostly Hal Jordan, though, I think he did one Guy Gardner animated film. It's why Nathan wanted the Green Lantern film so badly from Ryan Reynolds. He was tied to the role for a while.
Ik grant is old, well only 34 but Barry in the comics especially in the silver age was around his 30s.
If he were to grow either a full beard, or an oversized goatee, I could see him playing an older Green Arrow

I will hold my reservation on the DCU until movies are released, but as of today, I believe too many people are putting too much stock in James Gunn. Yes, he made Guardians of the galaxy and other movies, but you don't see Kevin Feige with his success of the MCU deciding to direct movies. I believe Greg Berlanti or Geoff Johns would have been a better choice to create a new DCU.
Don’t entertain Gunn, just do it. Transition Grant back to the Flash.

I would love to see Grant Gustin play the atom in the DCU that James Gunn is creating, but I have this idea of how it could work. They could use Ray Palmer in the next blue beetle movie and create that friendship that the atom and blue beetle has from the comics with the help of booster gold!!!!! And with the ending of the OG blue beetle who is alive, they could help out with the new blue beetle (Jamie) to find him.

James Gunn hires his friends and his family. If Grant was buddy buddy with Gunn, then he'd be cast. James Gunn says a lot of things to please fans but has a terrible track record of following through. I dont expect Grant to be in his DCU at all. I do see him as The Atom if he were to be in the DCU.

Give him some facial hair like they did with Cavill for MI6 and/or a new haircut and it'll totally be fine. I'd like to see him as a Green Lantern (or yellow lantern) or maybe an older Robin or Nightwing even, if wanted to go that route. Or any other acrobatic-based character, I feel like he could probably do that. Maybe something like a Royal Flush Gang character. I could also maybe see Starman or someone like that. Plenty of potential.
Hot take here but I don't want Grant Gustin to play the flash again in this new DCU cinema. Let's get someone new and let the arrowverse die
