Was excited at the prospect but it seems kinda clear you can't have multiclassing without destroying class identity, there's no warlock, no cleric, no rogue and ranger, only BIS builds with BIS gear and BIS perk choices
They just need to make some perks/spells/skills restricted to classes. Like hide requires Rogue to be the base for example.

Nah, barb is goated. You get 70 raw combat attributes ( str + vig + dex + agi) compared to 58 for ranger, 60 for fighter, and 65 for rogue, and some of the most sought after perks like iron will, robust, and potion chugger right out the gate.
You also have access to armor with both innate mag resist and attribute rolls.
If you multi class your barb into any other physical class, you have the strongest possible version of that class.

Ranger/Rogue mix, how would a stealth archer be overpowered. Its not like a ubiquitous gaming troupe or anything.
With the right mix of perks you can get a windlass to 100% armor pen and 60% more physical damage. Hide and then choose perk that increases damage when coming out of hide (firing the bow will proc ). Doesn’t seem busted on rogue because you need to be in someone’s face but on ranger from a distance

Multiclass is gonna be terrible for this game
DaD's balance has been so so before and with this is I dont think its gonna get better. For example I tried Achilles Strike/Rupture rogue. Its fucking absurd and its probably not even the best way to do it. Hand crossbow. Double bleed. Slow. You move you take more damage, you stand still, you get shot. All while im double jumping around in the ceiling. I'm sure there are better ways to do it and Im sure someone else will come up with something even better. But some of these combos are crazy good.

Nah, it makes it interesting. The whole premise before when the game had just launched was gear based, making very strict metas and wirh nothing else to fall back on in terms of other Meta strats. They definitely gotta re work this idea cause I don't think all classes should be intermingled with each other, maybe make it lvl 80 feature, rather than 50 so it doesn't create a huge divide in players based on specific criteria met, I.E a guy multiclassing while running green lobbies. It's gonna make players avoid certain lobbies where they run into annoying meta gaming bs. Maybe make it so a cleric can use some warlock and wizard perks and skills vice versa. Warlock can use some of x y and z. Make it more strict in terms of what skills classes can unlock.

h have 1800h in this game.. and thought it safe me from league.. but here we go i drop it dont wanna play that game with this class system. was really hyped to see like a skill tree where u can get more into certain aspects of the class like a fire or ice mage a slayer or plate fighter. but this shit hell nah bye

New downside to Double Jump: Lose the ability to wield range weapons other than the hand crossbow.
This is NEEDED for the sake of balance if they really want to make multiclass a thing. (though honestly if they make it so not even the HC works, you can remove the speed penalty completely and you'd have a much more fun to play against perk)
IM already has a hard enough time balancing the game as is. This is just gonna add another level of f*ckery

alright here's what you need to do next... rogue base class, getting spear proficiency from ranger, and blow of corruption from warlock. ambush blow of corruption with a spear.

Yeah dude fuck this shit. There is no way working a full-time job, and playing the game to stay somewhat competitive is realistic. Glad multi-classing is coming to regular game. This was a mistake when they couldn't even balance the classes before this.

I'm pretty new, just recently got the hang of pvp where I could manage fairly well. Then the multiclass update happens. I don't get to play too often, and now I jump in with a base class and can't do jack shit to most of these dudes running wild ass multiclasses

I'm trying my best to enjoy multiclassing, but it's such a pain in the ass. The sooner it ends, and Ironmace implements that skill tree they've had sitting there for so long, the better.
And the lootbox style unlocks for multiclassing are awful. If they insist on keeping this feature around a while longer, they should work out a point system for perks, and a slightly different system for skills. Instead of having to randomly draw for your multiclassing, you could pick the things you want, for a particular amount of points each.
Example: the Rogue's Caltrop skill might only cost 1 point because nobody really uses it, and it's pretty situational. Hide, on the other hand, might cost 5 points. Maybe Spell Memory/Song Memory would cost 5 points to purchase, but then you'd need more upgrade points to unlock additional spells. Like, Zap, Invis, Haste, Slow, and Magic Lock would all be included with the purchase of Spell Memory from the Wizard, but to get Fireball, Magic Missile, and Chain Lightning, you'd need to spend more points.
Man they really had something special here. Slowly turning more into just arcade pvp

This was my first idea when multiclass was announced except I wanted rogue base, then I realized rogues cant use windlass without a classmaster perk and scrapped the whole idea cause I main rogue. Now I’m thinking achilles spear ambush rogue.
This multiclass system thing might save my social life by getting me to stop playing the game!

This completely destroys every progress so far in terms of game balancing.. Not only that. Since the game is designed to have different classes of wich each has a counter or advantage against some other classes, they actually destroying the integrety of the game by removing that. The only way i see this working is by removing classes completely and adding a Big Skilltree with every perk and skill in wich you have to decide how to specalize. The attributes of the character have to be distributed when its created.
I wonder if they have it so that spell memory skills are class skills, such that they can be taught so you can make hybrid caster classes.
Yes. I've seen a video where a Warlock got Ignite from Wizard. It costed health instead of mana to fit the class better, but you could in theory have Fireball Warlocks or Hydra Wizards.
I bet they'll make some limitations because with the current way this is implied to work, you could roll Sanctuary on a warlock and you might have a infinite AoE Heal (assuming it would cost you Health instead of sitting to recover the spell and the cost would be less than the 25+ healing that the spell provides)

i think they need to remove double jump from the game. Or have like 1 skill exclusive to a class with double jump being exclusive to rogues. Otherwise I don't see this working.
All Creep is dumb af, i dont even want to play anymore, and wizard doesnt feel that great , i have stealth boy fighter come sprinting at me out of darkness and get this my only viable option left me worse off. Slow did not help enough to even survive two extra seconds. , not one extra cast, not a bonk. The wizard is like underwhelming at this point.
