Why do i love the sound of this instrument so much
I like it cause it sounds like a happy celebration. Red Wine is kind of sad, when you know it's about alcoholism. Much like good banjo music is about suffering but has a happy sound.

Why everyone changing the original name of the Instrument Gedt it into everybody thick head is not STEEL DRUM BUT STEEL PAN IN my days in the 30s it was invented from a PAN not a drum by sir WINSTON SPREE SIMON IN THE WEST Indian island p o s. TRINIDAD please do not twist it around we used to carry the PAN around our necks a carnival time in the Hot broiling Sun we used to put a towel around our necks so the belt went rub and cut you neck and irritate while beating the PAN it's old time days so please all are you.people Give Honour to the Inventor and Arranger that created the Beautiful INSTRUMENT that is circulating all over the world But don T change the name of the PAN. STEEL PAN. 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹

To the doubter who thinks this is a fake: FYI this is a highly tuned tenor pan, a percussion instrument made from oil drums. The origin is from the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean. There is a whole lot to be told about it. As an example, there are steel orchestras on the island and they practice in their different domains called panyards. Their musical talent ranges from pop to the classics and a variety of local compositions (soca) This instrument is now recognized worldwide

I absolutely love the steel pan. I am so glad I was able to take it in middle school, That's where I first learned about it and fell in love with it. I am currently a senior in high school and don't plan to stop there. I have played alongside Liam Teague and Tracy Thornton in a few concerts.
Listening to this instrument really lifts my spirit.
