Hey, I'm the author of the BCSO Pack. Was just told about this video from an acquaintance. Just wanted to clarify some stuff and maybe give you some extra info. Prepare yourself for a big read
I own the PolicingMP server and the cars in the server will be released eventually as an update to the pack you linked in the description once the pack is finished.
They're based off the Ventura County Sheriff's Office in California. I've done my best to be faithful to the real life fleet in terms of equipment, liveries and lighting, and incorporate any weird variations in the cars I could find in pictures, videos and in Google StreetView using extras.
Extra #7 is the white flashers on the edges of the lightbar. You can turn the lights on and toggle the extra on and off to see it.
Extra #9 is usually additional trunk equipment
Extra #11 / The quad/square antennas and black/yellow controller is based off a LoJack vehicle tracker system.
Other antenna extras are based off some general variations between cars that I saw online.
The roof numbers aren't in line with any kind of callsign, it's just the 2nd, 3rd and 4th digits of the car's number, so the Stanier with the car number "3000" has "000" on the roof. The two liveries with the same roof number were actually a mistake and it's since been fixed.
Some cars that have the extras toggling each other on and off (hubcaps on the scout/stanier, unmarked LXL) is a weird side effect of assigning extras to spawn with each other when the car appears, to make it match one of a few different configurations that are in use by the IRL agency. For those cars it's best to just spawn them until you get the variation you want, really. When you spawn the car they'll always show up in a realistic configuration, and messing with the extras can mess that up.
The Centurion is a work in progress and there's a bunch of missing equipment that I still have to add.
The Landstalker XL was meant to be based on the 2015-2020 Chevrolet Tahoe (at the time, the newer alamo/granger didn't exist yet), which is by far the most common patrol car used by the agency. I've recently started working on replacing the Landstalker XL with the new gen Alamo by IlayArye, and the regular patrol package is in the server now.
The second Landstalker XL and the second Sadler are based off the cars used in the Ojai Valley in Northern Ventura County, it's super remote and the cars are outfitted to work better in the environment, with offroad tires, extra spotlights and an increased ride height.
The Sadler's weird multi-pushbar configuration is real, and the newer Tahoes have it too, with the Westin wraparound.
The thing on top of the Scout roof is actually an obscure Code 3 search light called the 'Night Probe'. It's nonfuctional at the moment as I can't figure out a way to make it viable for use in-game. It's on *one* FPIU in their fleet, the one that has the pushbar and no hubcaps (they only have three total. The other two have the hubcaps and grill lights.)
The unmarked scout based on the civilian version is also a real thing.
Unfortunately with the Aviation Tanker I've kinda got my hands tied, the author of the base model doesn't want any edits made and I can't make any of the edits I really want to, such as proper lighting, liveries, etc. so I have to just stick with his base model. I'll probably end up just releasing the livery on its own.
Thanks for checking it out and sorry you had so much frustration with the extras, lmao

Thank you for clarifying all this info, Love the server by the way, Play on it a little bit too often but it’s fantastic, Never thought I’d be speaking with the owner of PolicingMP. Is there any way for me to contact you? Maybe a discord server or any other form of social media, I plan on showcasing more vehicles on the server in the future and would love it if you could give me background information about them.

I have reviewed the documents, and I did not come across any information pertaining to the centurion or the unmarked vehicles. Would you happen to know the reason for their absence?

How does one go about adding this to a fivem server because I have been looking for videos but just can't seem to understand this

I have a lot of Lore-Friendly Police Packs including this in single player, but all the sirens are the exact same between packs and sound nothing like this: 2:28. I have SirenSetting Limit Adjuster, but that seems to do nothing, some help would be appreciated on how to get these sirens working.

    • @JhnLpezUK
      @JhnLpezUK  Před 2 lety +1

So having them in singleplayer makes it a difficult situation... in FiveM servers there are different siren control systems that you can install... with singleplayer you are sort of stuck with ELS, so unless you install ELS and put custom sirens through that, there really isn’t another way
